The Nations League groups are coming to their conclusion, and there is plenty of exciting action on Monday night. England have been relegated to the second tier, and they will be looking to bounce back ahead of the World Cup when they face Germany. Elsewhere, the group is still up for grabs.

There’s only one place to start on Monday, and that is the clash between England and Germany. Both teams come into this one on the back of disappointing defeats, with a win for either lifting the mood ahead of the World Cup.
Southgate continues to be lambasted by the fans and media alike. Many believe the manager’s cautious approach is shackling a team full of gifted attacking players. Moreover, Southgate’s reluctance to take risks has resulted in England not scoring from open play for 450+ minutes of football.
Germany started so well under Hansi Flick, but things have started to unravel in recent matches. They were beaten at home by Hungary in their last game. They had 72% possession but failed to create many significant scoring opportunities, so they will need to remedy that on their trip to Wembley.
Both teams are fairly low on confidence, and it seems unlikely that Southgate will roll the dice and opt to attack in the final game before the trip to Qatar. As a result, I’m backing under 2.5 goals in the match at 1.80 with bet365. This bet has landed in five of the last six meetings between these sides.

If you had told me this clash would be the group decider when the tournament started, I would have laughed. Hungary have put in some admirable displays, and they find themselves two points clear in a group that featured three teams with nine World Cups between them.
Italy missed out on World Cup qualification, but they come into this match as favourites, having beaten England in their last game. Mancini’s men won the reverse fixture 2-1, and I’m expecting them to give a good showing here.
Hungary have won just three of their last ten matches at home. On the other hand, Italy have won 13 of their last 18 away matches, losing just once over that period.
Italy lost momentum after winning the European Championships, but Mancini remains in charge and feels that the Italians can change their fortunes. Winning the Nations League will be seen as an opportunity to show that, and I think they will get the better of a decent Hungary side on Monday.

Two smaller nations will play out our third match but there are some interesting betting angles. Georgia are a cut above Gibraltar and they ran out 4-0 winners the last time these two sides met.
Gibraltar have failed to win any of their last ten home matches, securing four draws over that time. They are averaging just 0.3 goals per game in those matches. Georgia are on a terrific run of form and are unbeaten in their last ten internationals, winning eight and drawing two over that period.
In Gibraltar’s last ten matches, their opponents are averaging 8.9 corners per game. Georgia had eight corners when these teams met earlier in the group, so I expect them to get a few here.
We can get odds of 1.80 for Georgia to win over five corners and the match using the bet365 bet builder. Georgia should dominate proceedings, which will likely reflect in both the scoreline and the number of corners they win.
Odds via bet365 as at 10:00 September 26th 2022. Odds may now differ.
