As we approach the fifth matchday of this season’s Champions League group stage, we have Salzburg vs Chelsea bet builder tips. Can the Austrian outfit upset the odds and secure qualification to the Round of 16?
While Graham Potter will look to continue his unbeaten start to life as Chelsea’s manager. A win for the Blues at the Red Bull Arena would subsequently secure their path to the knockout stage.

After thinking they had got the better of Manchester United at the weekend, a Casemiro goal in injury time meant otherwise. A result that saw Chelsea finish the latest round of Premier League fixtures outside the top 4.
After a slow start to proceedings in this current campaign, the Blues are starting to find their groove. A single point from their opening two European skirmishes has seen six points added in the pair that followed.
While that solitary point came after being held by Salzburg at Stamford Bridge. A result that also generated a smattering of boos at full time. Whether those boos were truly placed in the direction of new manager Graham Potter is up for debate.
However, there can be no doubt that Potter has been well-received by the Chelsea fanbase since. If he can record a third successive win in this competition, the club’s passport will be stamped with entry to the Round of 16.
With Chelsea picking up a recent head of steam in this competition, they will want to get qualification secured with a matchday to spare. While although the Red Bull Arena is not an easy venue to visit, my belief is that the Blues will earn maximum points on Tuesday.
Especially as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is displaying his worth to Graham Potter. With the Gabonese being on hand to score in both recent wins against Milan, I am also putting on the betting slip for another in Austria.
For those who fancy the former Arsenal man to score first as a standalone bet, this option is currently priced at 5.50. An option that does make some sense, but I am going to play things a bit safer. I have looked at the home corner market. While I don’t think Salzburg will pick up any points from the match, they look good for at least three total corners.
This means there is one more leg still to be added. This time, I have opted for total shots. As long as there are no more than 24 in total, that will be enough to get the final pick over the line.
For those feeling extra brave, under 18 total shots is currently priced at 7.00 on its own. Once again though, I am going to try and find the right balance between risk and reward – a balance which is currently priced at odds of 8.00
