Coquimbo Unido v O’Higgins Preview
Chile, Primera Division, Saturday, August 27th, 23:00 (UK)
Heading to Chile with my opening selection as bottom side Coquimbo welcome O’Higgins to the Estadio Franciso Sanchez Rumoroso on Saturday night where I’m looking to get onside with the hosts in the goal and corner markets.
Despite sitting bottom of the top flight Coquimbo are actually a decent side at home, scoring 20 times in 11 games and accumulating 17 points. They’ve found the back of the net in 10 home matches from 11 and have hit four or more corners in every match except one.
The game where they didn’t register four corners was back in March, they were reduced to ten men within the opening ten minutes but still managed three on the day.
O’Higgins, like many teams in the division struggle on the road, they have played 11 times and have managed just nine points. The visitors have kept just three clean sheets and have conceded less than four corners on just two occasions.
Coquimbo Unido v O’Higgins Best Bet
Given the healthy stats and the fact that the home advantage seems to be highly important in the Chilean Primera Division, I’m rooting for another strong performance from the hosts.
This selection has landed in all of the last seven league games for the hosts in this stadium and banked against O’Higgins in six of their last seven away trips.
The stats and averages are certainly on our side here for this one and at 1.72 the price does appeal given the recent success from both of these sides.
- Selection: Coquimbo 1+ Goal / 4+ Corners (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.72 (bet365)
- Stakes: 8/10

Olimpia Asuncion v Resistencia Preview
Paraguay, Primera Division, Saturday, August 27th, 23:30 (UK)
Olimpia Asuncion welcome Resistencia to Estadio Manuel Ferreira and the visitors will have to be on top of their game if they were to walk away with something against an in-form Olimpia side.
The hosts have won all four games at home this campaign with a combined score of 8-1, they don’t blow teams away but have been limiting their opponents to little chances on goal.
All four victories in Asuncion have seen three or fewer goals and given they are as short as 1.25 to win, combining an unders angle boosts the price up significantly at an odds-against price.
Resistencia have drawn twice and lost the other in their three away trips, they have already played the other Paraguayan giants on the road and lost 4-0 however three of those goals came inside the opening 20 minutes.
Olimpia Asuncion v Resistencia Best Bet
There was little value in backing a straight home win at a ridiculously short price however a price of 2.25 for another home win combined with an unders selection makes this a value play in the country’s capital.
The hosts will be expected to win once again but as previous results have shown the goals aren’t always flowing, I’m hoping this angle will land once more on Saturday night which will be five out of five for the hosts this season.
- Selection: Olimpia Asuncion Win / Under 3.50 Match Goals
- Best Odds: 2.25 (bet365)
- Stakes: 6/10

U. de Deportes v Ayacucho Preview
Peru, Primera Division, Sunday, August 28th, 01:00 (UK)
My final selection in South America sees a struggling Ayacucho side head to Lima as they face U. de Deportes in Peru in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Looking at this game based on stats you’d expect the hosts to walk away with it and in theory they should, given just how poor Ayacucho actually are given they haven’t won an away league game since October last year.
Since the start of the calendar year, the away side has been scoring more often than not on their travels in Peru, they’ve scored in nine league games from 12 since February and in all of the last four with seven goals in total.
The price for BTTS stood out massively and of course, that’s heavily reliant on Ayacucho finding the back of the net given they are 2.00 just to score alone but they should come here with some sort of confidence in finding the back of the net.
U. de Deportes v Ayacucho Best Bet
There is no doubting how poor Ayacucho currently are but they have scored in 12 of their last 16 league games, 2.37 is a very reasonable price for both sides to find the back of the net in the capital.
U. de Deportes have only kept six clean sheets in their previous 22 league matches so they’re more than capable of conceding and at the price on offer I believe it is certainly worth a play.
- Selection: Yes on BTTS (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 2.37 (bet365)

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?
A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
