Specific League Acca Tips and Predictions: Best Bets Preview

England’s oldest cup competition takes centre stage this weekend and James Cantrill has you covered for FA Cup Acca tips and predictions.
His treble dips into the action across Friday, Saturday and Sunday kicking off with goals at Stamford Bridge. Maidenstone United are fancied to give Ipswich a run for their money, and we are hoping for plenty of needle in the Black Country derby.
The treble pays out at 12.60 with bet365.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa: Pull no punches
England, FA Cup, Friday 26th, 19:45 (UK)
Chelsea romped past Middlesbrough on Tuesday evening to book their place in the League Cup final. It puts Mauricio Pochettino a game away from securing his first title in English football.
After a much-scrutinised start to this stint at Stamford Bridge, the Argentine boss would no doubt love a shot at a domestic double, so expect a strong side on Friday evening.
This would likely see the big hitters start in this all-Premier League affair. Cole Palmer made up for his slack finishing in the first leg to net twice against Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge, taking his tally to 12 for the campaign.
Conor Gallagher was rotated out but set up two in a 25-minute cameo so they could return at the base of the host’s midfield.
The Blues have scored 12 times across four games in 2024, which is why I’ll be cheering on goals here. At a shade of odds on, Over 2.5 Goals is the bet.
Aston Villa’s last two games have only seen one goal scored; this is something of a rarity for Unai Emery’s side, though, as overs have clicked in 72.4% of their 29 matches this season. I don’t expect either side to pull any punches here.

Ipswich vs Maindenstone: Beware of the Non-Leaguers
England, FA Cup, Saturday 27th, 12:30 (UK)
Saturday’s cynosure sees Championship side Ipswich host the lowest-ranked team left in the competition, Maidenstone of the National League South.
The Tractor Boys shared the spoils with table-toppers Leicester on Monday, thanks to a late equaliser from Jeremy Sarmiento. It hoisted Kieran McKenna’s side back into second, and if the Ipswich boss’s XI in the last round’s win over AFC Wimbledon is anything to go by, promotion to the Premier League is the priority at Portman Road.
McKenna made six changes in London, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar amount of rotation at Portman Road this weekend, which will only motivate Ipswich’s opponents.
Both teams have scored in 76.4% of Town’s home games this season. BTTS is the bet here.
United have scored in each of their six games en route to the fourth round, finding the net against League Two highflyers Barrow and League One play-off hopefuls Stevenage proving they are more than capable of bloodying the nose of Football League opponents.
- Selection: Both Teams to Score (TRACKED BET)

West Brom vs Wolves: Yellow Country
England, FA Cup, Sunday 28th, 11:45 (UK)
Wolves trailed Brentford not once or twice but three times in the FA Cup third round. It took two legs, then extra time, but crucially, Wanderers got their noses in front to set up a mouthwatering clash with Black Country rivals West Brom.
It is the first time the clubs have squared off in three years, and I expect fireworks as the two reacquaint themselves.
It was Matheus Cunha who grabbed the winning goal from the spot in added time. Following the game, he said: “A lot of fans said we needed to win because it’s a big derby. I’ve played Brazil vs Argentina, Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, and now I really want to play Wolves vs West Brom and make history.”
No, that isn’t satire; the Brazilian attacker is really up for this clash, which is why his price of 4.00 to be shown a card is worth a tout.
Cunha has notched up five bookings this term, his most recent coming in the stalemate with Brighton on Monday.
Thomas Bramall is the referee. He has averaged 4.60 cards this season but dished out nine (yes, nine) in his most recent appearances, proving he doesn’t mind throwing his cards about.
- Selection: Matheus Cunha Card (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 4.00
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 5/10
