Sunday Night Acca Tips: April 23rd
Sunday night means another succulent selection of suitable picks from fixtures in Europe’s top leagues. So having separated those that are great from those I hate I have picked out my three best bets. Putting them together to end the weekend in style with a bettingexpert Sunday night acca. Two games in Italy and one in France make the cut.

Monza vs Fiorentina Preview
Italy, Serie A, Sunday, April 23rd, 14:00 (UK)
A late winner from Luca Caldirola gave Monza a shock win at the San Siro last weekend. All but guaranteeing another season in Italy’s top flight with a 1-0 victory over Inter Milan. The Biancorossi rode their luck at times as you would expect from a newly promoted side when visiting one of Serie A’s giants. Michele Di Gregorio made several good saves after 25 shots flew at him. An xGA of 2.09 showing the players in front of him didn’t offer watertight protection.
It’s been a busy week for Fiorentina. Surviving a massive fright from Lech Poznań in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night. The Polish side stormed into a 3-0 lead in Florence to unbelievably level the aggregate scores at 4-4. A fantastic Riccardo Sottil volley put Vincenzo Italiano’s men back in front and progress to the semi-finals was confirmed with a Gaetano Castrovilli goal in injury time.
Monza vs Fiorentina Best Bet
La Viola are aptly in a purple patch. Their 15-game unbeaten run may have halted on Thursday night but they travel to Brianteo boasting a seven-game Serie A winning streak on the road. Having thumped in 20 goals in the process. European qualification via league position now looks out of reach so the Europa Conference offers their best route to European football next term. With a Coppa Italia semi-final also on the horizon we should see some rotation here in a game with plenty of chances at both ends.
- Selection: Over 2.25 goal line (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.83 (bet365)
- Stakes: 7/10
Montpellier vs Rennes Preview
France, Ligue 1, Sunday, April 23rd, 16:05 (UK)
Back-to-back league defeats have stalled Montpellier’s fine run of form. Although not mathematically safe from the drop, the eight-point cushion they hold over the relegation zone should prove to be enough. Positivity still surrounds the club since the return of Michel der Zakarian in February. La Paillade will be keen to return to winning ways here though against their European chasing visitors to prove the upturn in fortunes wasn’t just a case of “new manager bounce”.
Rennes showed their hosts how it is done last weekend. Bouncing back from successive defeats to Lens and Lyon with a scintillating 3-0 win over Reims. Ending the longest unbeaten away run across Europe’s top five leagues of 11 games in the process. The excellent Jérémy Doku fired in a brace in the opening 20 minutes and from then on, it was a case of how many.
Montpellier vs Rennes Best Bet
Rennes have leaned heavily on their home form this season to be up in 6th place. Les Rouge et Noirs have won just four road trips and kept three clean sheets across the season. MHSC have scored in all nine games under der Zakarian. Firing in 16 goals with 12 of those coming in five games at their Stade de la Mosson. Over the course of the season, no side has seen three or more goals scored in more home games than Montpellier. 12 of 16 crossed that line. I’m backing another.
- Selection: Over 2.5 goal line (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.97 (William Hill)
- Stakes: 8/10

Juventus vs Napoli Preview
Italy, Serie A, Sunday, April 23rd, 19:45 (UK)
Following a disappointing defeat to Sassuolo on Sunday, it’s been a great week both on and off the pitch for Juventus. Thursday saw their 15-point penalty over transfer dealings reversed moving them back up to 3rd place in Serie A. Followed up later the same day by progressing to the Europa League semi-final after a 2-1 aggregate win over Sporting Lisbon. Next up, avoiding three successive league defeats to cement their place in the Champions League qualifying positions in Italy’s top flight.
No such joy for Napoli who, despite the breathtaking atmosphere at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, were eliminated from the Champions League by Serie A rivals AC Milan in midweek. Both sides missed a penalty and there wasn’t enough time to find a winner after that man Victor Osimhen cancelled out Olivier Giroud’s earlier strike. At least Luciano Spalletti’s men have the consolation of their 14-point lead at the top of the table domestically. With a matter of when not if the club’s 33-year wait for another Scudetto is over.
Juventus vs Napoli Best Bet
Another boost for Juventus ahead of this mouthwatering clash was seeing the decision to partially close their stadium suspended. Max Allegri will enjoy the vociferous backing of a full stadium especially after such a positive week. The Old Lady have a formidable home record this term. Losing just one of their 15 league games at the Allianz Stadium winning 11. With Napoli looking a little tired over the last couple of fixtures and possibly suffering a hangover from their UCL exit the home side can at least avoid defeat here again. To boost the price I have added over 0.5 Victor Osimhen shots on target. Something he has achieved in 14 of his last 15 starts for Napoli. The 24-Year-Old hit four in the reverse.
- Selection: Juventus or Draw Double Chance and Over 0.5 Victor Osimhen Shots on Target

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?
A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
