We take a look at Ukraine vs England bet builder tips as Gareth Southgate’s side looks to extend their lead at the top of Group C on Saturday night.
The Three Lions are one of the favourites to win next summer’s European Championships, and they should be on the front foot here from the very first whistle.
Arsenal’s starboy Bukayo Saka takes a leading role in the three-pronged bet builder, as we’re sure he will in Poland on the weekend.

England have won all four of their matches since the disappointment of being eliminated from the World Cup by France. Southgate’s side have beaten Italy, Ukraine, Malta and Macedonia in that period. I’m backing them to beat Ukraine once again.
Ukraine are the home side, but they won’t have the advantage of playing on familiar turf due to the war with Russia. The game will instead be played in Warsaw. The last time England travelled to face Ukraine, the home side were beaten 4-0.
Southgate’s men are six points clear of Ukraine, but this game is still hugely important. Defeat would open the door for Italy in Group C. The reigning European Champions are nine points behind the Three Lions, though they have two games in hand.
England have several players who are in red-hot form coming into this match. They should have the quality to get the job done on Saturday night.
One of those in-form players is Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka. The Gunners are chasing silverware this campaign, and the winger will play a huge role in any success they have.
Saka has delivered five exceptional performances for Mikel Arteta so far this season. He has two goals and two assists across five matches, including the Community Shield.
Saka has started at right wing in England’s four matches since returning from Qatar. He missed the crucial penalty in the final of the last European championship, but the way he has bounced back is a testament to his character. His blend of pace, technical ability and sublime finishing make him a formidable opponent. He scored a hat-trick in his last match for his country. Bukayo also scored in the reverse fixture with Ukraine.
England have benefitted from several of their players playing under some of the world’s best coaches at club level. Possession-based systems have become the norm in the Premier League. As a result, Southgate’s side are able to dictate the pace of the majority of matches they play in. The team are averaging 59.1% possession in their last ten games.
When a team has extended periods of possession, their games see fewer throws. This is a trend we have seen with Manchester City and Arsenal in domestic competition, and it rings true for the national team.
The three Lion’s last ten matches have seen an average of 33.1 throws per game. Their most recent match against Macedonia saw just 22 throws. Additionally, their previous head-to-head against Ukraine recorded 28 throws in the match. England’s last five qualifying matches away from home have averaged 32.6 throws, so the numbers bode well for under 34.5 in this one.
