Heading to Belfast with my opening selection as the hosts have some work to do as they trail 1-0 on aggregate to the Welsh champions, The New Saints.

The corner angle instantly came to mind given Linfield are at home and are chasing the tie. They managed a very respectable five corners in Wales which all came after the break.

TNS took the lead just before the hour mark which then forced David Healy’s side to push forward and with the current situation of the tie backing the home side to accumulate some corners seems a good play.

Six corners is available at even money and is something I’m willing to get onside with, the fans will be right behind their side at Windsor Park on Wednesday evening in Northern Ireland in a game that’s still well in the balance.

CFR Cluj vs Pyunik Best Bet

Champions League Qualification, 13th July 2022, 19:30, (UK Time)

Another selection from the Champions League Qualification round as current Romanian champions Cluj are firm favourites to beat Armenian outfit Pyunik at the Stadionul Dr.Constantin Radulescu.

The first leg ended goalless in Yerevan with the Romanian side having plenty more attacking threat with 16 shots compared to five and a double-digit corner count at 11.

Cluj are as short as 1.20 to come away victorious in 90 minutes on Wednesday night however combining the win with a lack of goals creates a nicely priced selection which has every chance of landing.

Across Cluj’s 15 home league matches in the 2021/2022 season, they accumulated 41 points from a possible 45 which saw an average of 2.2 goals scored per game.

With the first leg ending 0-0, Pyunik knows how to frustrate their opponents. With home advantage and better overall quality, I will be surprised if the hosts don’t win inside 90 minutes in hopefully a low-scoring outcome.

Netherlands Women vs Portugal Women Best Bet

Women’s European Championship, 13th July, 20:00 (UK Time)

The Netherlands are the reigning champions of this competition after winning the final 4-2 against Denmark in 2017 and should be making light work of their upcoming opponents who are only in the competition due to Russia being banned.

Portugal found themselves 2-0 down in their opening game against the Swiss in just five minutes on Saturday evening but did manage to earn themselves a point but the Dutch will be a much tougher test at the Leigh Sports Village.

Mark Parsons is the national team manager for the Netherlands, the Englishman’s side are around 1.30 to win the match but backing them to be ahead at the break and to take all three points is nicely priced at 1.90.

With terrific goal scorers in Vivianne Miedema, Lieke Martens and Jill Roord who all star on the biggest stages in domestic football, they’ll be wanting to start quickly and earn the first win in this year’s competition which will most likely send them into the knockout stages.
