Here at bettingexpert News we have previewed our five favourite games for goals over the weekend. Each individual preview comes with a selection that may take your fancy.
In this article:
England, Championship, Saturday, October 15th, 15:00 (UK)
There’s a huge clash in the Championship this weekend as 4th placed Burnley host Swansea in 6th at Turf Moor. Goals should be present within the 90 minutes as both clubs look to build on a strong start to the season.
Looking into the goal stats at home and away respectively, the numbers supporting the proposed selection are rather strong. In the 12 games combined, BTTS has banked in 10 matches. This bet has banked in five games apiece.
Burnely have scored in each of their six home matches, just Millwall failed to score here at the end of August. Swansea have found lots of joy in front of goal on the road. They have scored in every game keeping just a single clean sheet which came at Bloomfield Road against Blackpool in round three.
The price on offer at 1.90 seems a little too steep given the success rate in the early stages of the season, both sides have been superb when it comes to scoring goals and we could be in for another entertaining affair.
Swansea are on a four-game win streak scoring 10 in that time so will arrive here in good confidence. Kompany’s men have found the back of the net in 10 straight matches so BTTS has a chance, for sure.
England, League 1, Saturday, October 15th, 15:00 (UK)
League leaders Plymouth make a trip to 22nd-placed MK Dons on Saturday afternoon where they’ll be wanting to continue their four-game win streak in the division, the hosts have come away empty-handed in five of the last six and could be in for another defeat at Stadium MK.
The visitors have scored 11 times in six away trips scoring in every single one and multiple times in three occasions. Liam Manning’s side have conceded nine in six games in Milton Keynes and have yet to keep a clean sheet.
The form and momentum is with Argyle here who have beaten some of the top teams in the division in recent weeks and will arrive here confident against an out-of-form MK Dons.
The odds-against price looks like a great bet. Plymouth are flying whilst MK Dons are on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. This selection has banked in seven of the last nine for the away side and with another professional performance, there is no reason that impressive trend won’t continue.
England, Premier League, Sunday, October 16th, 14:00 (UK)
Since the appointment of Graham Potter, Cheslea have looked like a different team and results have shown that. They’ve won the last four, scoring multiple times in each of those matches.
Steven Gerrard and Aston Villa have yet to really get going this season despite their current four-match unbeaten run. They looked well off it against Forest in midweek and with an informed Chelsea side in town, they could be right up against it at Villa Park.
The London club arrive here as decent favourites at around 1.85 to pick up all three points but are slightly higher in the goal markets. For Chelsea to score multiple times is 1.91. This seems a nice price given it’s cashed in four continuous matches.
Chelsea did the double over Villa last season scoring three in both fixtures, Potter has got them playing some nice football since his arrival and they’ll want to continue an impressive run of form.
Villa have had a reasonable start to the season in terms of opposition, Man City and Arsenal are the only real tough sides they have played and were outshot 35-7 in those games combined. If Chelsea can take their chances they can quite comfortably score a couple here on Sunday afternoon.

Italy, Serie A, Sunday, October 16th, 17:00 (UK)
Without a shadow of a doubt, Napoli are the most in-form team on the continent right now. This side has been excellent for a handful of weeks now and has been scoring for fun. Since the start of September, Luciano Spalletti’s men have won nine games from nine and have scored 29 times in total.
Bologna have started the season poorly. Just one win in nine puts them 17th in the table. On the road it doesn’t get any better for them, they’ve lost three games from four and have conceded nine times in total.
Napoli and goals just seems the best route to head down, in the last four they have bagged an incredible 17 goals and have no signs of slowing down either. With a poor Bologna side heading to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, goals could be on the cards once again here.
The league leaders have already seen 12 different scorers in the Serie A so far. Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is leading with five and Victor Osimhen returned with a goal in the win over Ajax in midweek. It’s a huge boost for the club.
This game should have only one outcome, three goals isn’t an easy task but given how this Napoli side have performed this campaign, I’m confident they can turn up once again.
Austria, Bundesliga, Sunday, October 16th, 13:30 (UK)
We’re heading to Austria with my final selection as an action-packed Wolfsberger face a tricky test. They head to Graz to play the best defensive side in the division. However, I’m expecting goals with both sides contributing here.
There have been 11 matches played so far. Wolfsberger’s have seen 44 match goals in with BTTS and over 2.5 landing in 10 from 11 played.
The selection has banked in just three games for the hosts this campaign but that isn’t too much of a worry as the visitors should make this an enjoyable clash. These sides did meet on the opening day which ended 1-1, a penalty was missed on the day and a red card towards the end of the game slowed the contest right down.
At even money, this play seems a little too big to not get behind given its success rate. Regarding the visitors, they have scored and conceded exactly 22 goals this season which is pretty remarkable.
The last time these sides played here in May it ended 1-4, another goal crazy 90 minutes could definitely be on the cards if Wolfsberger play as they have been this season.

A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
