FC Porto vs Brugge Preview

Porto were narrowly beaten on their trip to Madrid in the opening matchday, and I expect them to fare well with home advantage in this one. Brugge secured a good win over Leverkusen in their first group game, but they will face strong resistance as they travel to Portugal.

Porto had six corners to Atletico’s two last week, and they are averaging 6.3 corners per game to their opponents’ three in their last five home games in the Champions League.

I’m going to back Porto -3 on the Asian corners handicap with bet365. These two teams met in the group stages back in 2016. Porto won the corner count 10-4 at home that year. They even managed more corners in Belgium, where they had eight corners to Brugge’s three. I can see this meeting playing out in a similar fashion.

Bayern Munich vs Barcelona Preview

There is some bad blood between these teams after Barcelona’s prolonged public pursuit of Robert Lewandowski in the summer, and I’m expecting the home side to get stuck in as a result here.

Rangers vs Napoli Preview

Rangers were humbled at the hands of Ajax in their first Champions League game, and it doesn’t get any easier for them as they take on Napoli this week. The Italians put Liverpool to the sword last week, so they will be confident of getting all three points here.

Ajax won the corner count 7-2 in Rangers’ opener, but I think the Scots will have a few more corners here with the home fans behind them.
