Katie Boulter came through for us on Wednesday, and I expect another stellar performance from the British native in the quarterfinal on Thursday.

I have two bets to throwdown today, so let’s start with the handicap on the British #1 in the world. Katie has made it clear that being in the top 32 for Wimbledon means she is looking ahead but make no mistake that she still sees the path to get there.

Boulter smashed out 11 aces and broke the 13th-ranked Latvian 5 times en route to a straight-set victory, 6 – 4, 7 – 5. Katie will be facing a player ranked in the top-10 but the line setters still put the chalk on Boulter at -150 to advance to the semis.

I am not messing with any of that noise, but I will be on the -2.5 games handicap on Boulter to win and cover the line. Paolini is about to redefine herself with a decent showing on grass which we are not accustomed to seeing over her career.

Who the hell predicted a run to the French Open final for the Italian? Confidence is a big factor and Jasmine was looking fine against Mertens up 5 games to 2 before Elise had to exit the match and retire.

I see this as a 3-match thriller and at +141 Pinnacle offers the best line I can find on the Over 2.5 Sets prop. Boulter will cover the -2.5 games handicap, and this match will go the distance before Katie advances to the semis.

Nottingham title… Check!
Eastbourne title… Remember yesterday when I told you Boulter was +700 to hoist the Eastbourne hardware? Well, it is +400 now so if you waited you missed out on a few bucks.

Boulter has her game and the crowd exactly where she needs it to be. After taking down Nottingham, Boulter’s only blip on grass is the early exit in Birmingham against Kalinina but she says she is fine and her game says as much.

Boulter is 7 – 1 on grass and with three more wins she will reach the double-digit win total as she did in 2023 (10 – 7).

JASMINE PAOLINI RECENT FORM

It is tough to argue with a recent form for someone who just reached the French Open Final, albeit a loss to Iga like everyone has had to endure.

Jasmine is 5 – 12 on grass in her career, and her struggles on the surface will be spoken of until she proves otherwise.

This past January at Linz, Boulter earned a straight-sets win over Paolini at 2 & 2.
