Top-level domestic football explodes back into life next week and we’ve got Premier League best bets on its return. This Premier League acca has a festive flavour to it. I’ve mulled over selections for all 10 matches and combined them into the second bettingexpert Christmas Cracker Acca. Expect rubbish jokes, clunky puns and hopefully some betting value along the sleigh. Sorry, way.

Brentford host a Tottenham side that will surely still be feeling the effects of the World Cup. Hugo Lloris, Ivan Perisic and Cristian Romero all played on the final weekend. Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur both sustained injuries while on international duty too.
Brentford ended things on a high before the break. It was just one defeat in six Premier League matches and a 2-1 win over Manchester City on November 12th. Their home record this season has been exemplary – taking four points from matches with Chelsea and Manchester United.
Brentford look great value here. Even without Tottenham’s injuries, I’d be looking at the Bees to ruin their Christmas. The Asian handicap line is too tempting, especially at those odds.

It’s a proper midtable clash as 11th host 10th at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace and Fulham are level on points with a wedge of one goal difference between them. The Eagles ended finished things off six points from three games before the World Cup while the Cottagers took one point from their final three.
Goals are an expectation at Selhurst Park these days. Both teams have scored in five of Palace’s last six Premier League matches at home. Both teams have scored in 80% of Fulham’s matches so far. Expect a flurry of goalmouth action here.

It’s a new dawn for Wolves. They’ll be hoping for a major turnaround fast under new manager Julen Lopetegui. The initial signs are good. Results in friendlies have been encouraging and there appears to be a flurry of transfer activity to come in the January window.
Spruce-ing up the attack is the first order of business for Lopetegui. The fans have been pine-ing for more goals but they’ll feel confident against Everton who have only found the net in one of their last six Premier League matches.
I’m backing Wolves to get back on track against a poor Everton side. Man for man, they visitors have the stronger side and that will show. The Asian handicap line is generous and something I can get behind.

This is an intriguing clash. Both sides will be praying that business resumes despite the month-long Premier League break. Leicester finished things off with four wins from five in the league. A stark turnaround after a run of one win in 10 to start the season.
Newcastle’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in August was their only one so far. The Magpies are five points off top and comfortably in the top 4. They’ll hope that Qatar 2022 won’t derail their season. A fair few of their players took part in the World Cup but fatigue shouldn’t be an issue. Newcastle’s players played just 458 minutes at this World Cup, the third-fewest of any Premier League team.
I’m looking at goals here. Overs has landed in four of Newcastle’s last five on the road in the league. The Foxes have plenty of defensive weaknesses to exploit and are more than capable moving forward.

Christmas is a time for Saints and this one is no different. It’s a new era for Southampton under Nathan Jones. They’ll hope for a sharp turnaround starting here. There is surely only one direction to go. Three consecutive league defeats ended Ralph Hasenhuttl’s time at St. Mary’s. They now host a Brighton side that is finding form under Roberto de Zerbi.
But I’m backing the Saints here. We can’t ignore the new manager’s bounce, especially when they’re playing at home. The Asian line gives them a quarter of a goal. That means that even if the sides draw, this bet is a half-win.

It’s been a strong start for Unai Emery at Aston Villa. Two straight Premier League wins – including a 3-1 victory over Manchester United – were the perfect gift from the new manager. They now face a tough test against a wounded Liverpool side. Jurgen Klopp will hope that the month-long interval works in his side’s favour. A lot of injuries have healed and the Reds will be eager to make up the lost ground in the race for the top 4.
The bookies have the goal line set at 2.75 which feels a little optimistic. We don’t have to go far to look at the last time Unai Emery set up a team against Liverpool. His Villarreal side faced them in the Champions League semi-finals last season. They were set up to defend deep and counter. Expect this Villa side to take on a similar gameplan against a Liverpool attack that is nowhere near as potent as it was back in May.

Arsenal host West Ham on Boxing Day aiming to continue their title bid. The Gunners are five points clear of Manchester City but there is a growing concern at the Emirates following the injury to Gabriel Jesus.
I expect some dropoff in the coming weeks but the Gunners should be okay here. They have a fine record against West Ham and David Moyes’ men were struggling before the World Cup break. 1st hosting 16th at 1.54 is a very generous price 99% of the time.

We’ll soon see what Graham Potter’s Chelsea are all about. It’s been a tale of two sides for the Blues since the new boss arrived in September. The first half saw six wins and two draws. A 4-1 defeat to former side Brighton turned things around for Chelsea. They are yet to recover and a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa would have caused more than a touch of the Christmas Blues.
It’s been a similar story for Gary O’Neil at Bournemouth. A slump followed a strong start. Both managers will now be aiming to get back on track following the break.
I’m looking expecting an open one here. Bournemouth have shown their defensive frailties in recent matches, keeping just one clean sheet in seven. The Blues have gone through something similar. They’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League home matches. The goal line is high at 2.75 so there is a lot more value backing both teams to find the net.

Manchester United begin their post-Cristiano Ronaldo era with a Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest. The hosts will hope that their key players don’t endure a World Cup hangover, especially in the centre of defence. Defender Raphael Varane started the match for France with Lisandro Martinez on the opposition bench.
United will be concerned by the number of minutes totted up by their players in Qatar. United’s representatives at the World Cup played a total of 3583 minutes and the three players with the most minutes play in defence. Casemiro played as a centre-back in their 2-0 win over Burnley in the League Cup in midweek.
Forest weren’t too affected by the World Cup. It should even work in their favour, giving Cooper an opportunity to work closely with the array of new signings. I expect a big second half of the season from Forest starting here.
Forest are improving quickly. Since Steve Cooper was handed his new contract at the start of October, Notts have been one of the form sides. Backing Forest on the Asian handicap in each of those matches would have given a profit of +20.9 units. The bookies are underrating them and I expect that to continue here. They’re the value pick.

It’s a local derby to close things off on the Premier League’s return. Leeds host Manchester City for what may be a memorable match. Most of Leeds United’s games were before the break. There was an average of 5.5 goals per game in Leeds’ four matches before the World Cup. Each one saw both teams scoring and was settled by a single goal.
They now host a Manchester City side that wobbled before the Mundial. Two defeats in five league matches isn’t awful for most teams. Manchester City are an exception to that and the 2-1 defeat at home to Brentford last month was one of the shocks of the season so far.
It’s set up as an intriguing clash. Manchester City need the points to keep up with Arsenal in the title race. They could be eight points behind the Gunners when this one kicks off. Fatigue may be an issue. City’s players were on the pitch for 4624 minutes during the World Cup – the highest of any club in world football.
Their hopes here will surely rest on Erling Haaland, the man who didn’t feature in Qatar. It’s a big ask against an improving Leeds side – especially in the intimidating atmosphere of Elland Road. Expect Santa to show up a little late in Leeds.

A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create Premier League accas which is what we have created here.If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
