Arsenal vs Everton Prediction: Team News and Lineups Preview

It’s an Arsenal vs Everton prediction, team news, lineups, and fixtures preview next on the agenda for Tom Winch here at bettingexpert as we tackle the Sunday afternoon Premier League game at the Emirates.

It’s the final weekend of the Premier League season. Arsenal take on Everton at the Emirates. Mikel Arteta’s men will be ecstatic or absolutely gutted come full-time. What an occasion it’ll be. It’s all to play for. The stadium will be rocking.

Arsenal vs Everton Prediction 1: Professional Performance

England, Premier League, Sunday, May 19th, 16:00 (UK)

All Arsenal can do is win. We don’t know the outcome of Manchester City’s clash with Spurs at the time of writing. It’s going down to the wire, that’s for sure. Mikel Arteta’s side are 3.20 to win the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are 1.36.

The home side are huge favourites. The Gunners’ price is 1.16 on Sunday afternoon, the draw is available at 7.00, whilst Sean Dyche’s Everton are as big as 15.0. The Toffees have been on an impressive run of form in recent weeks. They cruised to Premier League survival. It’s just one defeat in eight. They were destroyed 6-0 by Chelsea a month ago.

Of course, I want to get Arsenal on my side. The prices give you limited options. We know about Everton’s defensive capabilities under Dyche. Only Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City have conceded fewer goals.

Everton haven’t recorded an away victory in 2024. You can’t count on them scoring at the Emirates. They’ve scored just 17 times in their 18 away days this term. Only Sheffield United have a worse record.

Six of Arsenal’s previous seven Premier League victories have arrived with a clean sheet. We know they can dictate matches and limit their opponents to limited attempts.

Arsenal vs Everton Prediction 2: Saka’s Sublime

Bukayo Saka is Arsenal’s star. The 22-year-old has bagged 16 times in the Premier League this campaign. He’s the leading scorer for his club. Bukayo has also recorded the most assists – he’s vital to Mikel Arteta’s side.

It’ll be rude not to back the Englishman in the AGS market. His price isn’t huge, as expected. Our man has averaged 0.49 goals per 90 this season. His shot data is impressive. Saka has recorded 108 shots this campaign, 37 of those have hit the target. Those equate to 3.31 and 1.14 per 90, respectively.

Saka has started 35 games this season. He’s averaged 83.8 minutes per90. He’ll be on penalty duties. That’s always a bonus.

If Arsenal is on their A-game, they could rack up the score. They put five past Chelsea and scored three against Spurs and Bournemouth in the past few weeks.

The hosts are 1.66 to score at least three goals in this encounter. If they do score three times, then there’s a great chance that Bukayo will find himself on the scoresheet.

  • Arsenal vs Everton Prediction 2: Bukayo Saka Anytime Goalscorer (TRACKED BET)

Arsenal vs Everton Prediction 3: Strong Statistics

Arsenal have been excellent at home regarding restricting their opponents to corners. The Gunners have allowed 50 corners in 18 home matches this term. A lowly 2.78 per match.

The hosts have allowed 0.67 corners against inside the first half on average. It’s a remarkable statistic. Just 56% of visitors have forced a corner before the break.

A lowly 11% of teams here have forced two corners when playing here in 2023/24. I struggle to see Everton causing trouble in the early stages to the Arsenal defence.

With everything on the line, Arsenal could start slowly and not want to make any mistakes. I struggle to see Arsenal scoring three in the first half. This selection has won in all 18 games here in the Premier League. It doesn’t take a genius to predict this.

Everton failed to earn a corner inside the opening 45 minutes when these sides met at Goodison Park. The game was goalless up until the 69th minute.

  • Arsenal vs Everton Prediction 3: Everton Under 1.5 First Half Corners & Arsenal Under 2.5 First Half Goals (TRACKED BET)

There’s very little injury news from both teams.

Alli, Patterson and Mykolenko won’t feature for Everton. The trio will be back to full fitness ahead of the 24/25 campaign.

Match OPTA Stats: Toffees’ Final Day Blues

  • Arsenal have lost just one of their last 27 Premier League home games against Everton (W22 D4), going down 1-0 in April 2021. They’ve beaten them three times on the final day of the season in this spell (4-3 in 2001-02, 3-1 in 2016-17 and 5-1 in 2021-22).
  • Everton lost the reverse fixture against Arsenal 1-0, but haven’t been beaten in both Premier League meetings with the Gunners in a campaign since 2017-18.
  • Arsenal have won their final Premier League game of the season more often than any other side (22, including the last 12 in a row), also having the best win rate in such matches in the competition (71%). Indeed, they’ve not lost their final game of the season since 2004-05 (1-2 vs Birmingham City), and not at home since 1992-93 (1-3 vs Tottenham).
  • No side have lost their final game of the Premier League season more often than Everton (14). However, they beat Bournemouth 1-0 last season, and are looking to win their final game in consecutive campaigns for the first time since a run of five between 2007-08 and 2011-12.
