We have the best bets from the Premier League props markets ahead of the weekend. The top teams have been busy in European competitions throughout the week, so there could be some rotation. After last week’s success, we will be revisiting the shots market.

Shot Market Preview

Last weekend, we won all three of our bets on the shots market. Manchester City racked up the attempts in the Manchester Derby. Wolves succumbed to defeat, but they exceeded the required mark for our bet. Arsenal made it a full house by dominating proceedings when they faced Tottenham.

We will continue to use the betting model to assess the shot lines set by the bookmakers. This helps identify the value from this weekend’s fixtures. The model uses many factors. The quality of opposition, recent form, and averages against different levels of opponent.

The number of shots a team has can be quite unpredictable. Goals change games, especially early on, but this method has proven to be profitable long term.

Chelsea vs Wolves Preview

Chelsea impressed as they coasted past AC Milan on Wednesday night. Potter’s men looked dangerous going forward. They also managed to restrict Milan to very few chances. A marauding run from Rafael Leao was a rare bright spark for the visitors.

Wolves parted ways with Bruno Lage after the loss to West Ham. Julien Lopetegui is expected to take charge, but he is unlikely to be on the bench on Saturday.

Chelsea vs Wolves Best Bet

When these sides met at Stamford Bridge last season, Chelsea had 19 shots. The Blues looked full of confidence in their 3-0 win over Milan. Graham Potter looks as though he is starting to get his ideas across. I expect them to pin Wolves back for much of Saturday’s game.

The model predicts that the home side will have 18.36 attempts here. This suggests that the shot line of 17.5 on Unibet represents some value. West Ham reached the required mark against Wolves last weekend. So odds of 2.10 for the same to happen against Chelsea looks a good bet.

Brighton vs Tottenham Preview

Roberto De Zerbi nearly got off to a dream start in his first match at Brighton. The Seagulls led 2-0 at Anfield before Liverpool fought back. However, the team showed great character to salvage a draw late on. It seems as though Brighton will continue to thrive under the new manager.

Tottenham have struggled in their last two matches. Spurs were beaten by Arsenal last weekend. They were disappointing when they faced Frankfurt. Conte will be keen to get back to winning ways at the Amex.

Brighton have been very good at restricting their opponents, especially at the Amex. None of Brighton’s opponents in their four home matches so far this season have had more than 10 shots.

The model predicts that the visitors will have 9.94 shots here. Spurs have had 12 shots or fewer in five of their six away matches this season. The exception came when they managed 18 shots against Nottingham Forest.

I’m going to back the visitors to fall short of what the bookmakers expect in terms of shots. In periods of the match, Tottenham are likely to favour playing on the counter.

Man City vs Southampton Preview

Manchester City and Erling Haaland have been imperious in recent weeks. Their attacking quality is frightening, and that is likely to continue on Saturday. Pep’s side are widely fancied to retain the title this season. But, there is no room for complacency as they chase down Arsenal.

Southampton haven’t beaten City in the last 11 meetings between the sides. They did manage a draw here last season. The Saints haven’t scored in their last two away games, so the signs are ominous coming into this game.

The model predicts that City will have 19.72 shots here. Pep’s men had 22 shots in their last league game against Manchester United. They also had 30 attempts against Copenhagen midweek.

City to have over 18.5 shots is priced at 1.72 with Unibet. They have hit this mark in three of the last six meetings between these sides at the Etihad. The acquisition of Erling Haaland has only increased their attacking threat, and the shots have been flying recently.
