Chelsea vs Fulham Preview

Friday, February 3rd, 20:00 (UK)

Chelsea grabbed the headlines in the transfer window by securing the signatures of several big names. The Blues now have a squad full of some of the biggest young talents in football. The future looks bright but they need to start grabbing the headlines with their work on the pitch. Potter has had a rocky start to life at Stamford Bridge. They are in 10th heading into this one.

Fulham have had a dream first half of the season. They are 7th in the league and there is next to no chance of relegation. However, they are outperforming their xGA by 10.53. Marco Silva’s side will be wary of dropping down the table should they be on the receiving end of some clinical finishing.

Chelsea vs Fulham Best Bet

Fulham beat Chelsea 2-1 earlier this month. They were aided by Joao Felix receiving a red card for a horror challenge in his Chelsea debut. The game saw 28 fouls and six offsides.

The last time these sides met at Stamford Bridge, there were 23 fouls and offsides in the match. Moreover, Chelsea’s most recent home match against Crystal Palace saw 31 free kicks.

The Blues’ last five matches where they have been similarly priced to win have seen an average of 25.6 fouls and 2.6 offsides.

  • Selection: Over 24.5 Free Kicks In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 5/10

Newcastle vs West Ham Preview

Saturday, February 4th, 17:30 (UK)

There will be a buoyant atmosphere at St. James’ Park this Saturday. The club have secured their place in the League Cup final and are in with a chance of ending their long trophy drought. They currently sit third in the table and have a great chance to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

They take on a West Ham side that has failed to hit the heights of recent seasons. They climbed out of the relegation zone with victory over Everton and then beat Derby in the FA Cup. The Hammers’ faithful will be hopeful that the last two wins can spark a revival in the second half of the season.

Newcastle vs West Ham Best Bet

Newcastle are averaging 17.6 shots per game in front of their home fans this season. They are unbeaten in their 10 league matches at home and have posed a significant threat going forward.

The Toon have had 16 shots or more in eight of their home matches this season. Chelsea and Manchester City were the only teams to prevent them from hitting the shot line required for this bet to land. Newcastle have also had 16 or more shots on the last two occasions West Ham have come to town.

  • Selection: Over 15.5 Shots For Newcastle (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 2.00 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Aston Villa vs Leicester Preview

Saturday, February 4th, 15:00(UK)

The start of Aston Villa’s season under Steven Gerrard was lacklustre, but since the appointment of Unai Emery, things have improved. With Emery at the helm, results have improved, with only one loss in seven league matches and five wins.

Leicester City, on the other hand, has struggled with their away form. With the exception of three consecutive away victories before the World Cup, they have lost all seven of their away matches and were recently defeated 2-0 by Nottingham Forest. Their defence has looked shaky when away from the King Power stadium. The consecutive wins saw them keep three clean sheets but their opponents are scoring an average of 3.29 goals per game excluding that run.

Aston Villa vs Leicester Best Bet

Leon Bailey is set to start up front next to Ollie Watkins. He is averaging 2.2 shots per 90 minutes played this season but this rises to three shots per game when he plays as a striker. He has had four shots in two of his last three matches and hit the required mark in the three home matches Villa have played since the World Cup.

Leicester are conceding 13.55 shots per game this season, the sixth most in the Premier League. This rises to 16.2 shots per game when they play away from home. Villa should have plenty of opportunities to test the keeper here.

  • Selection: Over 2.5 Shots For Leon Bailey
  • Best Odds: 1.80 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 5/10

Nottingham Forest vs Leeds Preview

Sunday, February 5th, 14:00 (UK)

Nottingham Forest have recovered from their poor start to the season and climbed to 13th in the table. Many condemned Steve Cooper’s side to relegation early on but they have made huge strides forward since those early weeks. The club reached the semi-finals of the League Cup and the future looks bright for the two-time European Cup winners.

Leeds’ come into the weekend three points behind Forest. A win would see them overtake the hosts but a defeat would see them brought into the relegation fight. The bottom half of the league is tightly compact so these games have a massive impact.

Nottingham Forest vs Leeds Best Bet

The last four meetings between these sides have taken place in the Championship but they have all seen 18 goal kicks or more. The average goal kicks per match over the course of these head-to-heads is 20.75.

Leeds’ matches are averaging 15.16 goal kicks per game; the third most in the Premier League. Forest’s average of 15.15 per game so this looks primed for goal kicks. Their matches against teams who rank higher than them for goal kicks have finished with 21 and 15 goal kicks.

  • Selection: Over 14.5 Goal Kicks In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 7/10

Tottenham vs Man City Preview

Sunday, February 5th, 16:30 (UK)

These teams met earlier this month in a thoroughly entertaining clash. Tottenham stunned Man City in the first half at the Etihad to take a 2-0 lead before being overrun after half time. Pep Guardiola’s have a battle on their hands if they want to retain the Premier League title this season. Arsenal have laid down the gauntlet. City cannot afford a repeat of their recent slip-ups at Spurs.

The home side will be without Antonio Conte on the touchline. The Italian is undergoing surgery and his presence will be missed. Tottenham haven’t been at their best this season. They are still vying for a top-four spot and have qualified for the Champions League knockout stages but their performances haven’t been up to scratch.

Tottenham vs Man City Best Bet

Manchester City’s matches see the fewest throws in the league. However, this trend has been bucked in the recent matches against Tottenham. There were 38 throws when they met earlier this month; well above the line set by the bookmakers on that day. Moreover, City’s matches away from the Etihad average two more throws per game so we could see a larger amount here.

There has been 31 throws or more in the last four head-to-heads. Tottenham’s home games this season are averaging 38.4 throws per game. Just two of their 10 home games this season have seen this bet lose.

  • Selection: Over 30.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72 (Bet365)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Odds via bet365 as at 12:30 on 3rd February 2023. Odds may now differ.
