We’re here again, as usual, to guide you through yet another enthralling season in the Premier League and beyond. Below you’ll find our team of football betting experts providing food for thought about who they believe will win the Premier League title.

Can Pep Guardiola lock in another top-flight crown? Is Arteta’s men ready to go one step further? Or have reinforcements on Merseyside edged them towards silverware more so than others? Let’s see.

Jack Wright’s Premier League Winner Odds and Predictions: No strangers to the crown

A little over two months since Manchester City completed their historic treble the red hot title favourites are about to kick-off the defence of their Premier League title. Having been crowned Champions in five of the last six seasons they are no strangers to such a scenario.

In İlkay Gündoğan we perhaps see the first player leave the club whom Pep Guardiola wanted to keep. However the additions of Croatian duo Mateo Kovačić and Joško Gvardiol are more than shrewd and add further strength to an already elite squad.

Led in attack by goal-scoring machine Erling Haaland I can’t see past another league winning party for the blue half of Manchester and another place in the record books. In the history of English football, not just the Premier League era, has a side won four consecutive top tier titles.

Personally, I wouldn’t be getting involved at odds of 1.83 but as we saw last term patience could be a virtue. With Arsenal’s consistency making the Gunners title favourites at the tail end of the season we were able to back Pep’s men at odds against. Even though City won 10 of their opening 13 league games.

An obvious pick but it’s Manchester City as Premier League winners again for me.

Jimmy The Punt’s Premier League Winner Odds and Predictions: Cheer on the Gunners at those prices

Let’s take on Manchester City. The 5/6 favourites for the title. Last season’s historic treble winners. The side who has bolstered their ranks with Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol this summer. That side.

Arsenal fell last season on the home straight and failed spectacularly. Hopefully they can utilise that experience. The Gunners board has backed Mikel Arteta, the signings of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice show their intent and a Community Shield victory suggests the North Londoners could overcome the hoodoo Pep Guardiola had over them.

City won all three meetings with Arsenal last season, scoring eight goals in the process and only conceding twice. After Sunday’s victory, Aaron Ramsdale said the Gunners overcame a “mental block” which could give them an edge heading into the new season.

I have seen a few tout Pep to achieve literal perfection this campaign and go unbeaten, he managed to conquer England and the continent last campaign, so why not.

At 5/1, I rather be cheering on Arsenal, and after the summer they have had, I think there is enough of an excuse to do so.

Matthew O’Reagan’s Premier League Winner Odds and Predictions: More Weapons in their arsenal

Manchester City won their third consecutive Premier League title in a history-making treble season. Pep Guardiola fought tooth and nail with his former right-hand man, Mikel Arteta, but the Citizen’s manager inevitably secured the victory. Arteta’s side ran out of steam towards the end, with Guardiola’s experience and know-how proving decisive.

Arsenal have looked to address their depth issues that derailed their title charge. Big money has been spent on bringing Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber to the Emirates. All three are the exact profile Arteta craves: young, versatile, and with pedigree. The Gunners will feel their squad is vastly superior to last season’s, but questions linger about the North London side’s mentality.

Time and time again, Guardiola re-invents his side to find a solution when things aren’t clicking, and last season was no different. A switch to a more rigid back line with an inverted right back allowed his side to become more defensively solid without jeopardising the tiki-taka and attacking fluidity that make Guardiola’s side so good to watch.

The departure of Riyad Mahrez leaves City short of right-wing options, so Phil Foden may be in for more minutes in his preferred role. The industrious, big-game player Ilkay Gundogan has been replaced by the silky technician Mateo Kovacic, who fits Pep’s system like a glove. Defensively, Josko Gvardiol arrives from RB Leipzig, with the young Croatian tipped for big things.

All in all, City have added more weapons to their armoury and Guardiola’s genius is unmatched in the Premier League. I can see nothing else but a fourth straight title for the blue side of Manchester.

Scott Thornton’s Premier League Winner Odds and Predictions: A worthy adversary but not enough

Manchester City won their third consecutive Premier League title on their way to securing an historic treble. They joined their neighbours in an elite club of English football and Pep Guardiola’s side looks just as formidable as this season approaches.

Arsenal had the advantage over City at the halfway point of last season but Pep’s team went up a level at the business end of the season. In the past two seasons, City have ended the campaign in an almost flawless manner and it makes them a difficult opponent to catch.

The Gunners beat City in the Community Shield but this won’t be cause for concern for Guardiola. His side have lost three consecutive shields but have managed to win the Premier League each time. Arsenal will prove to be a worthy adversary once again. If you’re looking for someone to back at a good price, look no further than Arteta’s team. However, City should have what it takes to fend off any challenge once again.

Tom Winch’s Premier League Winner Odds and Predictions: It’s a bold move not to

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have dominated the Premier League in recent years, they’ve won the title three seasons on the bounce and are considerable favourites to do so once again.

It’s a bold move to go against the treble winners, they lost an important player in Ilkay Gundogan over the summer but replaced him smartly with Croatian international, Mateo Kovacic. Erling Haaland will be as hungry as ever whilst the defence has been strengthened with the signing of Josko Gvardiol.

Arsenal are City’s closest challengers according to the odds, they lead the way for a huge chunk of the 22/23 campaign but ultimately fell short as City, like they usually do, put on a long winning streak when things really matter.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are third favourites and appear to be the only other side with a realistic chance of becoming champions, although that looks like a real push. We know how good Liverpool can be on their day but with the number of departures in central midfield, this may well turn out to be a year of stabilisation. They’ll most definitely improve on last year but a title challenge may be one step too far.
