Bournemouth vs Liverpool Bet Builder Tips: Saturday, March 11th

The season enters its final three months and we’ve got Bournemouth vs Liverpool bet builder tips ahead of another crucial weekend. We’re at the stage in the season when every side knows what they can realistically achieve. The top four is the goal for Liverpool and after last weekend’s result, they’ll feel confident. Away form is the problem and they now travel to a Bournemouth side that also went through a potentially season-defining match last weekend.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool Preview

England, Premier League, Saturday, March 11th, 12:30 (UK)

This match will be all about the reaction of both these sides. For Bournemouth, it’s how they’ll cope with the heartbreak of Saturday afternoon. Few sides have gone ahead in a match against Arsenal this season. Even fewer have gone two goals ahead at the Emirates.

That lead didn’t hold as the league leaders came back to win it 3-2. Gary O’Neil will hope that winning goal from Reiss Nelson with effectively the game’s final kick doesn’t hurt Bournemouth’s survival chances.

For Liverpool, it’s about building momentum from their weekend exploits. Any type of win over Manchester United would have represented a major result for Jurgen Klopp’s side in their quest for the top four. The manner of that win could prove seismic. A 7-0 victory, the largest in the fixture’s history, will surely be the highlight of their season.

But the response interests me. Liverpool are finding some form ahead of what will be a make-or-break spell for them. They’ll need to take maximum points here ahead of their next three fixtures against Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Away form is the problem for them. Liverpool are imperious at Anfield with nine wins and three draws from 13 games. It’s a different story on the road though. If the table looked only at away form, the Reds would be stuck in 12th, level on points with Leicester and Southampton.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool Stats & Facts

  • Bournemouth have lost their last seven Premier League matches against Liverpool by an aggregate score of 28-1
  • If the Reds score three or more goals in this match, it will be the most they’ve ever scored in the Premier League against a single opponent in the same season after that 9-0 win at Anfield in August
  • Bournemouth won more points in their first six league matches under Gary O’Neil than they did in the following 15
  • Liverpool haven’t conceded for five matches – their longest run o clean sheets for over three years

Bournemouth vs Liverpool Bet Builder

It’s hard to look beyond Liverpool here. They’re the big favourites for a reason and I’m expecting a turnaround in their away form starting here.

I’ve headed to bet365 for my Bet Builder selection. The Early Payout feature applies to bet builders which could take away some of the stress. If the Reds go two goals ahead in the game, the result will lock and that leg of the builder will already count as a winner. Ironically, had you backed Bournemouth to beat Arsenal last weekend that leg would have won thanks to Early Payout, despite the Cherries’ eventual defeat in the match.

Both teams to Score is an intriguing market here. Yes on BTTS is a shorter price which may surprise a few given the Reds have kept five consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League. Still, it looks like the value play for me. Bournemouth have scored in each of their last four in the league despite playing Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle and Wolves. They’re a good counter-attacking team which bodes well for them considering the Reds will likely have the lion’s share of possession.

A good way to boost the odds of a bet builder is to add in a few prop lines that complement the game state you expect. I expect Liverpool will have plenty of the ball and really take the game to a Bournemouth side that is set up to counter. That means shots and Bournemouth allow plenty of them.

Bournemouth’s opponents in their five most recent Premier League matches had an average of 21.2 shots. The bet365 Bet Builder allows you tremendous control over what you want to back in the prop markets. The Total Shots market can be broken down into either team or both combined. I’m looking only at Liverpool’s shots and adding in over 17.5. That boosts the odds to a nice 5.00.

Don’t forget to select Live Alerts so you’ll be first to know when something happens.

  • Match Result will be Liverpool
  • Both Teams to Score in the Match – Yes
  • Over 17.5 Shots in the Match for Liverpool

Bet Builder odds: 5.00

Odds via bet365 as at 13:16 on 9th March 2023. Odds may now differ.
