It is fair to say that the Bees are buzzing in West London. Brentford are unbeaten in each of their last three Premier League outings and now prepare for the visit of Arsenal on Sunday.

A visit where Arsenal will not only look to return to winning ways in the top flight but also exact revenge for what happened here last season. The Gunners lost 2-0 on the opening day of the previous campaign in embarrassing fashion.

However, Mikel Arteta’s men are certainly a different beast these days and although they came up short in their recent trip to Manchester United, there were still reasons to be rather cheerful.

Especially as the North London outfit begin the weekend atop the Premier League table. Although their lofty standing may be removed by the time we reach Sunday lunchtime, this is a side that is certainly silencing its usual critics.

Then again, the Arsenal defence are now going to have to silence a rampant Brentford side. With them averaging 2.5 goals per Premier League game, Thomas Frank’s men have quickly become one of the more entertaining sides in the division.

While in addition to this, Ivan Toney is now knocking on the door of the England squad. If the former Peterborough forward can add his tally on Sunday, he might just receive a phone call from Gareth Southgate soon after.

With the Premier League undergoing an enforced break last week, it might end up being something that works against Arsenal. Because after losing to Manchester United a fortnight ago, they would have loved nothing more than to get back to top-tier action.

However, their pause may have just cooled the Gunners down slightly and although Arsenal are still a decent price of 1.80 to win in 90 minutes, I am not going to put all my eggs in a North London basket.
