The last few head-to-heads have seen plenty of goals. A repeat of this and we should be in for an entertaining affair.

Our Brentford vs Fulham prediction is for Brentford to win the match 3-1.

Brentford vs Fulham Prediction 1: Goals Galore

England, Premier League, Saturday, May 4th 15:00 UK)

Brentford’s five game unbeaten record was arrested in a tight and edgy 1-0 loss to Everton at Goodison Park. They’ll be looking to bounce back in style at home to arch-rivals Fulham.

Thomas Frank’s side have fallen well short of last season’s antics in which they came eighth, taking their European dream into the last day. This campaign has seen them battle against relegation, although they’ve been safe for a couple of weeks now.

The remainder of the season will be about finishing as high as possible and preparing for next season, with the Bees set to lose wantaway striker Ivan Toney. Frank will see a game against their rivals as the perfect chance to do just this.

The summer departure of likely golden-glove winner David Raya to Arsenal has had a detrimental effect on Brentford defensively as they’ve conceded 60 goals this season. Only the bottom four have conceded more.

The Bees have kept just two clean sheets in their last 12, also scoring in 18 of their last 21. Their games have averaged 3.20 goals, with 12/17 home games seeing over 2.5 goals.

Fulham are three places and eight points ahead of Brentford and know a point means they finish above their West London neighbours. However, Marco Silva will be wanting more. The abysmal form of Brighton and injury crisis at Wolves means there’s a real opportunity for Fulham to leapfrog a couple of teams.

The Whites have struggled away from home, having the 17th worst away record, picking up just 14 points. They’ve also conceded 35 on the road, keeping just one clean sheet in their last 16 away games. With 20 goals scored on the road, Silva’s side games have averaged 3.23 goals.

The last six meetings have seen at least three goals. With nothing to play for but pride, we should see attacking intent from both managers.

Brentford vs Fulham Prediction 2: More for Muniz

After a disappointing loan spell last season at Middlesbrough in which he scored just twice, Rodrigo Muniz is enjoying a stellar breakthrough season. The 22-year-old has scored nine goals in 16 Premier League starts, with a goal against Crystal Palace last time out arresting a four-game drought. The 22-year-old is averaging 0.55 goals p90, from 0.52 xG.

In addition to this, his shot volume shows his willingness to shoot, averaging 4.36 shots and 1.54 shots on target per 90. As mentioned earlier, Brentford are struggling defensively, keeping just two clean sheets in their last 12.

In a game where goals are expected at both ends, Rodrigo Muniz looks the most likely from the Cottagers to get on the scoresheet.

  • Brentford vs Fulham Prediction 2: Rodrigo Muniz to score
  • Best Odds: 3.20
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Brentford vs Fulham Prediction 3: Wicked Wissa

There were many concerns about Brentford’s attack when Ivan Toney was hit with a long suspension. After four goals in his first five appearances back, the 28-year-old is on a nine-match streak without a goal.

However, Yoane Wissa has stepped up in the meantime, scoring six goals in his last ten appearances, taking his total to ten for the season. The DR Congo striker is averaging 0.38 goals per 90 from an identical xG. He’s also averaging 2.35 shots and 0.91 shots on target per 90.

The 28-year-old has scored in his last two meetings against Fulham and is currently level with his best goal tally for Brentford, so will be keen to score to break his personal accolade. Wissa scored in his last two meetings with Fulham. Playing against a side who have kept just three away clean sheets in all competitions this season, Wissa looks good value to score again.

In a Premier League season that has seen many teams plagued with injuries, Fulham have the rarity of having no injuries to report heading into this game. After Tosin Adarabioyo wasn’t named in the squad in the 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace, Marco Silva faces the dilemma of whether or not to include the 26-year-old in his matchday squad, with the centre-back set to depart in the summer.

The Bees have been riddled with injuries all season. Thomas Frank is slowly getting players back, although dynamic full-back duo Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey are still on the long-term absentee list. Dominant centre-back Ben Mee and box-to-box midfielder Josh Da Silva are also out. Livewire Kevin Schade is back fit after missing the majority of the season, but Frank may choose to use him as an impact sub once more.

  • Brentford vs Fulham Prediction 3: Yoane Wissa To Score
  • Best Odds: 3.00
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 6/10
