There’s just a single game in the Premier League on Wednesday night and we’ve got Brighton vs Man City bet builder tips ready. It’s set up to be an enjoyable watch between two fantastic footballing sides. Pep’s side have been crowned champions whilst De Zerbi and his boys will play Europa League football next campaign. Here at bettingexpert Expert Insights, we have constructed a bet builder for this clash.
In this article:
England, Premier League, Wednesday, May 24th, 20:00 (UK)
It’s been a season to remember for the Seagulls. They’ve almost earned themselves a Top 6 finish in the Premier League – albeit if a huge goal swing goes against them, which will be a club record. Brighton have been one of, if not the best footballing side at times. Only Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool have scored more goals this campaign than De Zerbi’s side.
The goals have been shared by multiple players during the season. Alexis Mac Allister leads the way with 10, Pascal Gross has nine whilst March, Mitoma, Welbeck and Ferguson have combined for 26 in total.
Pep’s side arrive here as Premier League champions for a third successive season. They’ve been relentless at the right time winning 12 games on the spin. Their squad depth is ridiculous with huge amounts of talent wherever you turn, even with a handful of changes they can punish any side.
The reverse fixture between these two came back in October when City claimed maximum points, and Haaland bagged a brace in an evenly contested affair at the Etihad. I’m expecting to see a fair few goals once again when they meet on Wednesday night, there’s no pressure on either side to get a result which should be a positive factor.
Brighton are best priced at 4.10 to win here whilst City are 1.80, the draw is available at 4.50. The goal line is set at 3.00, that’s priced at 1.80. It’s tricky to back either team here, City will be expected to rotate a fair few players whereas Brighton will want to put on a show in their last home game of the season.
I’m confident that we’ll see some goals at the Amex. 56% of matches involving Brighton here have seen this selection cash. Four of their previous five matches here have seen three or more goals scored with 23 arriving in total.
Man City’s 2.76 goals on average away from home is less than the 3.11 Brighton boast at home but in their 11 games on the road since the restart, seven of those have gone over 2.5 with eight of their last nine seeing three or more.
With the pressure off the players and the staff, we could be in for a treat. Seven of the last eight meetings between these two would’ve seen this line ticked off the bet builder.
Backing unders is never a fun watch whatever the market but adding a lack of violence to the bet builder looks like a sensible angle to consider. When in front of the home fans, five or more cards have been brandished in 44% of Brighton’s fixtures. Their opponents usually rack up a hefty amount with 2.89 on average.
City’s numbers are considerably less, on their travels just 24% of away days have seen five or more bookings. The visitors are ranked 19th when it comes to the cards whilst Brighton are 16th, something that’s appealing.
Simon Hooper’s in charge for this one, he’s been the man in the middle 27 times in the Premier League this campaign and has brandished 94 yellow cards with a single red. The proposed selection has cashed in 78% of his matches, a healthy figure.
Mitoma has been an ever-present figure in my bet builders whenever Brighton are involved. The Japanese international has managed a shot in 19 of his 21 starts which includes each of his previous 13. This clash should be an open and entertaining affair with plenty of chances for either side.
