Bochum vs RB Leipzig: Bochum’s Blockbuster Clashes
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 2nd March, 14:30 (UK)
Bochum were beaten 5-2 at the hands of Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend. They are one place above the relegation playoff, but there is an eight-point gap between them and Koln. This is largely due to their exceptional home form. They have lost just one of their 11 Bundesliga matches at the Vonocia Ruhrstadion and managed. Their last game at the ground was a 3-2 win over Bayern Munich.
RB Leipzig are in desperate need of the points as they chase down a Champions League place. They are just one point behind Borussia Dortmund despite losing to Bayern last weekend. Marco Rose’s side have been inconsistent since the winter break.
Thomas Letsch’s side’s matches have seen the 2nd most shots in the German top flight, with an average of 30.26. There were 38 in their last game against Monchengladbach. Bochum’s most recent home match against Bayern Munich saw 40 shots.
Leipzig’s matches have seen fewer shots than Bochum’s, with an average of 27.6 shots per Bundesliga match they’re involved in. However, there were 30 shots the last time they played at this ground.

Mainz vs Borussia Monchengladbach: Desperate Times, Desperate Measures
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 2nd March, 14:30 (UK)
Mainz are running out of time to make their great escape. They are 17th in the Bundesliga and 10 points adrift from safety. The relegation playoff looks to be their best hope of survival, with Koln just two points ahead of Bo Henriksen’s side. Mainz won their last home game 1-0 and showed plenty of fight as they were beaten on the road by Bayer Leverkusen last weekend.
Borussia Monchengladbach were able to end their five-match wait for a win by beating Bochum 5-2 last weekend. However, they have not won their last eight away matches in the Bundesliga.
Henriksen’s men have no time to lose, so I’m expecting them to show more attacking intent in the coming weeks. They are averaging 15.45 shots per home game in the league this season. The reverse fixture against Monchengladbach saw 35 attempts.
Monchengladbach’s matches have seen the most shots in the division, with an average of 30.57. This rises to 31.7 in their matches on the road. This bet has won in six of their seven games since the winter break, with the most recent six all seeing at least 31 shots.
- Selection: Over 27.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.72

- Stake: 8/10
Wolfsburg vs Stuttgart: The Away Side On Top
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 2nd March, 17:30 (UK)
Wolfsburg have been the Draw specialists of late. They have earned a point from seven of their last eight matches, with their only defeat coming away to Union Berlin. Their last win came against Darmstadt on the 16th of December. The poor form has seen them drop to 13th in the table.
Stuttgart have been the surprise package this season. They avoided relegation via the playoff last season but are well on course to qualify for the Champions League this time around. Seven points separate them from 5th place, but they will want to put together another winning run to take the pressure off.
The home side have conceded the 5th most shots in the league when playing in front of their own fans, with an average of 13.82 per game. Wolfsburg conceded 14 shots when they played Stuttgart earlier in the season. They also conceded 14 the last time the sides went head-to-head at this ground.
Stuttgart are averaging 14.88 shots per game in 2024. They have hit the 14 mark in all four of their Bundesliga away matches since the turn of the year.
- Selection: Over 13.5 Shots For Stuttgart (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.80
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 8/10
