High-flying Arsenal continue their title charge as they head to Goodison Park this weekend to take on Everton.
Relegation threatened Toffees recently parted ways with Frank Lampard and have now appointed former Burnley manager, Sean Dyche as their new gaffer.
Goodison Park has not been a happy hunting ground for the Gunners in recent history. They’ve been winless in the last four Premier League games at the venue, losing three and drawing one. Mikel Arteta and his men would definitely be looking to buck that trend and the way they’re playing, it is a high possibility.

Former Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre believes that Arsenal are the favourites to win this one and also thinks that if Everton concede once, they’ll wilt.
“No, I think Arsenal should win that game because of the dynamic, the momentum and the positive attitude they have.”
“Everton, I think if they concede one, they could be in big trouble.”
Of course with Everton under a new boss, one would expect a ‘new manager bounce’ but records show that Sean Dyche has not been an issue for Arsenal in his Premier League career.
Dyche against Arsenal | Played | Won | Drew | Lost |

In the 14 games he was in charge (of Burnley) against Arsenal, Dyche has only one win – at the Emirates of all places – which came on December 13th 2020 in a game that saw Granit Xhaka get a red card for violent conduct.
Silvestre doesn’t think we’ll see the manager bounce in this game saying that he doesn’t believe things can change in a week.
“New manager, yeah, lifts the mood but you can’t fix things in a week, in a few days.”
“I see one outcome in that game, a win for Arsenal.”
Looking at our research into the topic last season, the majority of new managerial appointments see an immediate improvement in results. Of course, this match may prove to be one in the minority but that remains to be seen.
