Gilson Tavares led the line for Cape Verde against Egypt. He was a peripheral figure for large periods of the match, but his manager will be delighted with how he took his chances.

Cape Verde vs Mauritania Team News Preview: Talisman Bebe a major doubt

Former Manchester United youngster, Bebe scored in Cape Verde’s 3-0 win over Mozambique before being withdrawn with an injury. He didn’t feature in the 2-2 draw with Egypt, but could be in contention to play in the round of 16. Bubista could opt to name an unchanged eleven following the draw with Egypt.

Mohamed Dellahi Yali scored the only goal in Mauritania’s win over Algeria. He was substituted with an injury after 67 minutes, and it seems unlikely he will start this clash.
