Interestingly, there isn’t one team priced below Evens at the time of writing on bet365 for Wednesday’s fixtures in the Championship. Of course, that highlights the difficulty of picking a winner in a league where each side can beat the next. But that’s why we love it, right?

Notching three goals against Watford at home and repeating the feat in the next fixture versus Sheffield United in Yorkshire is some going by Blackpool. The duel against the Blades had it all: six goals, a last-gasp 98th-minute equaliser, nine yellows cards, three reds, and a missed penalty.
At 2-0 down, it looked like another routine victory for Sheffield United. However, honours were even before the half-time whistle, with The Seasiders making it 2-3 not long after the break before Oliver Norwood popped up just before tempers flared at the full-time whistle. It’s the type of 90-minutes that will zap legs and deplete energy levels in The Championship. Yet, you get the feeling that this Blackpool side relishes such outings.
And next, a weary Hull City arrive at Bloomfield Road, having been slapped around by Championship clubs for the last six weeks. For The Tigers, it’s seven losses in eight matches. In all seven defeats, Hull have conceded more than one goal, scoring just once in reply. Overlooking their one win against Wigan three games ago and focusing on the losses, that’s an aggregate score of 17-1.
If Blackpool can register a goal early and assert dominance, I fear it could be more of the same for a Hull City side in desperate need of new ideas and direction. And at a reasonable price.

After a slump nearer the beginning of the season, Birmingham City have now lost just once in seven matches. However, Burnley is a severe threat in encouraging another loss on the Championship’s form table, though it certainly won’t come easy for the travelling Clarets.
John Eustace’s Brummies were neck and neck with Rotherham in the relegation markets in the summer. He, more than anyone, will be delighted with how his Birmingham squad has answered the questions thrown at them in the last seven matches. It may still be a circus behind the scenes in the Midlands, but Eustace has his Blues firing.
After the 4-0 Swansea win on Saturday, it’s fair to say Vincent Kompany has his Burnley team in a similar shape. If the Clarets can arrive and match the desire in Birmingham’s midfield, they should be able to avoid defeat. Chong, Bielik, and Mejbri is an outstanding trio at this level, with the guts and guile to continue Birmingham’s impressive early rise up the table.
In the BTTS stakes, Burnley have ticked off the goals galore coupon in 9/14 matches this season, with Birmingham managing 5/14 for punters. Considering the five goals in two games in Brum colours, perhaps just the solitary strike at home isn’t asking for too much.

It’s another Championship fixture that is so tough to call. Sheffield United are without some key names, with results faltering largely due to absentees. Coventry, on the other hand, seem to be getting into their stride after a tough start marred by pitch troubles.
Both Anel Ahmedhodzic and Jack Robinson are in contention to feature for Sheffield United. That’s a much-needed boost to Paul Heckingbottom. The Blades are even shorter on numbers following Wes Foderingham’s red card for his post-match antics on the weekend. So, with the shot-stopper suspended, Adam Davies is set for his first appearance of the season in goal.
The Sky Blues come into the fixture with just one loss in six, a stark contrast to the five consecutive defeats before the gear change. In the five most recent Coventry matches, supporters have been witness to just three goals in total. If we get another low-scoring, nervy affair in Coventry, the draw’s price is a little on the larger side for a game that could go either way.
