I’ve gone for a Monday evening bet builder at odds of 14.00, as Crystal Palace play host to Leeds and with both teams languishing in the bottom half of the table, there is an element of dead rubber attached to it.
While there is no doubt that Crystal Palace have had an impressive season, it is in danger of ending on a rather flat note and after suffering an FA Cup exit at Wembley, dreams of a big day out in May have now been scuppered.
Not to mention, that Palace suffered what can only be considered as a Wembley hangover in midweek and after subsequently losing 1-0 to Newcastle at St James’ Park, the Eagles now find themselves 14th at the time of writing.
A standing that could be one worse by the time they take to the field on Monday and if Aston Villa can get the better of Leicester on Saturday, it will only worsen the current picture which is unfolding at Selhurst Park.
That is not to say there is anything in the way of a crisis in South London, more a sense of disappointment and for a club that knocked on the top-ten door this season, they now look like being locked out of that conversation.

Then again, a 14th place finish would do Leeds just fine and with recently installed manager Jesse Marsch overseeing a four-game unbeaten run, the Elland Road outfit have managed to put some daylight between themselves and the bottom three.
Such has the uptick in performance been under Marsch, that the decision to sack Marcelo Bielsa is now looking a more measured one with each week that passes and without the rigorous demands from the Argentine being placed, the players look far more relaxed these days.
Something that is paying dividends when it comes to performance and although Marsch is having to deal with injury problems just as much as his predecessor, the effects are not being felt as much on the playing field.
Which means Leeds will look to continue their upward mobility on Monday night and if they can get the better of Patrick Vieria’s men, that same outfit will also be in their crosshairs as far as progress up the Premier League table is concerned.
As for how this one pans out, Leeds to avoid defeat is currently priced at 1.72 and with there being little on the line in terms of league jeopardy, this might be a sensible route to take before the action gets underway.
While for those who like the pursuit of goals, over 2.5 in total is priced at odds of 1.80 and with Leeds being one of the more entertaining teams in the division, this is certainly worth some consideration as well.
Bet Builder is available at 14.00 Odds.
Before the start of next week, I have plumped for Leeds to get something from their trip to the capital and although they will get at least a point, I still think that Jean Mateta will score on Monday night. While even with a rather cautious under 13 corners and six cards, this bet builder still offers a hefty 14.00 return.

A bet builder is a kind of accumulator bet solely focussed on one match. A standard acca features multiple selections across different selections combined together into one bet. If one selection loses, the whole bet loses. A bet builder is similar but each selection is placed on the same match. Similar to the American prop bet, the bet builder goes into detail on a single match. Common selections include match outcome, total goals, cards, corners, and players to score.
