European football is back and our expert Jimmy The Punt has you covered for this week’s UEFA European acca tips with a treble paying out at a cool 13.57.

It does not seem long ago we were kicking our heels during the international break, now we’re spoiled with a midweek round of continental action.

Thanks to bet365’s early pay-out, we hit a 7.49 Premier League acca on Saturday. Here’s hoping to make it two from two.

Acca odds: 13.57

Celtic vs Atletico Madrid: Sexy Atleti

Scotland, Champions League, Wednesday, October 25th, 20:00 (UK)

Gone are the days of park-the-bus-Atletico Madrid, in La Liga, anyway. It has been no secret that Diego Simeone has been trying to transition from contain and counter to a more attack-minded approach for a few seasons: Portuguese import João Félix, the pricey poster boy for an unsuccessful period.

This season, only Girona (24) have scored more goals domestically than Atleti (23), who top the charts for goals scored from open play (20) and Álvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann have combined for 12 goals.

In the Champions League, Atleti have made an unbeaten start in Group E, picking up a point at Lazio and edging a five-goal thriller against Feyenoord.

The Spaniards’ games have been rife for goals, with both teams to score clicking in each. Wednesday’s hosts have also scored at least two goals in 81.81% of their games this season, and that is the bet here.

Coincidently, Celtic have shipped two goals in each of their games on the continent.

  • Selection: Atletico Madrid to Score 2+ Goals
  • Best Odds: 1.85
  • Bookmaker: William Hill
  • Stake: 10/10

Olympiacos vs West Ham: Kudos to Kudus

Greece, Europa League, Thursday, October 26th, 17:45 (UK)

Mohammed Kudus was partially to blame for one of the goals against Aston Villa at the weekend.

Jarrod Bowen, aided by a huge deflection, halved the deficit at Villa Park. Kudas was introduced nine minutes later as West Ham looked to push on. Instead, it was a sloppy touch from the former Ajax man that started the attack where Ollie Watkins restored the hosts’ two-goal cushion.

David Moyes is not exactly in a rush to shoehorn the summer signing into the side, and this may only set Kudas back further domestically.

A Europa League game should provide a welcome opportunity for the Ghanaian to show his credentials.

In 100 minutes of Premier League action, Kudas has scored once. Across his career in European competitions, he has scored seven goals in 16 appearances (goals per 90 0.72), most of which came in the premier competition, the Champions League.

In three appearances in this competition this season, he has already bagged five goals. He had a hat-trick in the qualifying round for Ajax and a brace against TSC Bačka Top in his Hammers debut.

With domestic opportunities looking increasingly sparse, Kudas will have to impress in a rare starting opportunity on Thursday. He certainly has the pedigree in this competition.

  • Selection: Mohammed Kudus Anytime Goalscorer
  • Best Odds: 3.50
  • Bookmaker: SkyBet
  • Stake: 5/10

AZ Alkmaar vs Aston Villa: Favourite Villans

Netherlands, Europa Conference League, Thursday, October 26th, 17:45 (UK)

The aforementioned Aston Villa made it 11 straight wins on their own patch in the Premier League on Sunday. After Tottenham won on Monday, it leaves the Villans just four points off the top of the table, having only lost twice domestically this campaign.

It is a staggering feat made possible by Unai Emery, who has completely flipped the fortunes of the squad he inherited from Steven Gerrard, incredible considering Gerrard’s side haunted the lower end of the table.

The frightening thing is, the Spanish supremo loves a continental competition.

Emery won a hat-trick of Europa League trophies with Sevilla in consecutive years from 2014 to 2016. He guided Arsenal to the final in 2019 and then lifted the trophy for a fourth time with Villarreal in 2021.

His latest European campaign in the Conference has not exactly got off to the best start. After thumping Hibernian in qualifying, Villa lost 3-2 at Legia Warsaw, and it took a last-gasp goal from John McGinn to edge past Zrinjski Mostar.

Villa were ante-post favourites to lift this trophy and remain favourites for a reason. I am confident they will hit their stride in the Netherlands on Thursday.

  • Selection: Aston Villa Win
  • Best Odds: 2.05
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 10/10
