I’ve gone for a Sunday afternoon bet builder at odds of 9.00, as Everton play host to Chelsea and with the Toffees finding themselves in the relegation zone, their status as ever-present Premier League members is in serious jeopardy.
In this article:
Although Everton are only two points behind Burnley at present, two could just as easily become five before Sunday comes around and with the Clarets travelling to a Watford side who always lose at home, it does not bode well for Frank Lampard’s men.
With that said, even if the margin of error is extended to five, survival is still in Everton’s own hands and if there is ever a time to play Chelsea and perhaps call on a favour from a former employee, then this weekend must surely be it.
Because with Chelsea now going through the motions until the FA Cup final at least, this is a team that has definitely dropped down a couple of gears and you only have to look at their last three performances as evidence of this.

Admittedly the trio of Arsenal, West Ham and Manchester United do not represent the easiest opposition to deal with and four points from nine is not the worst tally to collect from a busy week of Premier League action.
Although even with the potential caveat offered above, there is no doubt that this Chelsea side have lost their spark and with many assuming the downturn is connected to their ongoing ownership issues, it is further rooted in a lack of motivation.
With the Stamford Bridge outfit being ruled out of the title race for a good few months, Thomas Tuchel’s ship has seemed rather rudderless at times and although they are still capable of putting teams to the sword (Southampton for example), this seems the exception rather than the rule.
Which is something that Frank Lampard and Everton will be fully aware of and although they played simply not to lose in last Sunday’s Merseyside derby, they are going to need to be on the front foot when playing host to Chelsea.
Especially as they have managed to earn seven points from the last nine on offer at Goodison Park and although the Everton fanbase can be known for making things difficult for their own team, they can also harness that frustration to use against the opposition.
Quite simply, there will never be a better time to get the better of the West London outfit and although backing the win may be a little brave, you can get 2.00 on an Everton double chance punt before kick-off.
While in terms of goals, both teams have their own issues when it comes to attack and therefore backing under 2.5 at odds of 1.80, is something that I would recommend when it comes to weekend wagers.
Bet Builder is available at 9.00 Odds.
Before the weekend, I have plumped for Everton to avoid defeat at Goodison Park and in doing so, I think Richarlison will at least bring some joy to the Toffees. In addition to that, I reckon there will be at least 10 corners and two cards, as my bet builder is now fully complete.

A bet builder is a kind of accumulator bet solely focussed on one match. A standard acca features multiple selections across different selections combined together into one bet. If one selection loses, the whole bet loses. A bet builder is similar but each selection is placed on the same match. Similar to the American prop bet, the bet builder goes into detail on a single match. Common selections include match outcome, total goals, cards, corners, and players to score.
