Three footballing powerhouses in Wales, Gibraltar, and Malta host our three selections in Friday’s Euros qualifying fixtures. It has been a long old season, but now only two internationals separates the players from their summer holidays. Let’s get to it.

After spending 90 minutes watching Armenia vs Turkey, waiting for the ref to deal a flurry of yellow cards in the group opener, it was evident that this Armenia team isn’t terrible. They won’t threaten qualification from the group, but they’ll provide tough competition along the way.
So, to see Armenia at +1.25 away in Wales was a pleasant surprise. It’s a pick that could leave me with an egg on my face, in all honesty. Armenia succumbed to Nations League beatings twice to Ukraine (0-5 & 3-0) and twice to Scotland (1-4 & 2-0), which would have seen this bet lose.
However, this Welsh outfit rarely wins by a two-goal margin. The dismantling of Belarus (5-1) in November 2021, 0-2 against Turkey at the Euros, and the 3-1 win against Finland in November 2020 were the last.
This may have legs if Armenia arrives with a spring in their step following their performance against fierce rival Turkey. If not, and Wales starts strong, it could be a long evening for the Armenians.

It’s of no surprise that Gibraltar has opened up their qualifying campaign with two losses. Greece (0-3) managed to land the bet. The Greeks hit two first-half goals. However, in Gibraltar’s second match in the Netherlands, the home side could only find the net once in the opening 45 minutes.
Ronald Koeman’s side hit 52 shots in the 90 minutes, with 17 coming before half-time. That’s an eye-watering total and goes some way to explaining what we may see on Friday. After all, one may recall the 4-0 scoreline France inflicted on the Dutch in March.
France comes into Friday’s game as 1.18 shots to win both halves, whilst BTTS-No is a lowly 1.12. Coupling the two picks up in a bet builder may make sense if you expect both of them to romp home as the bookmakers do.
In addition, we can add France to score two goals in the first half to get us up to 1.70. It’s not the biggest price, admittedly, but it is a tall ask to enter this fixture and produces any price of note when siding with the French. Considering we’re at the end of a long season, Didier Deschamps will want this game done with Greece next to play.

We may see an England squad with a few surprises considering Manchester City’s prolonged celebrations. Jack Grealish and co join the squad but the likelihood of Stones, Walker, Phillips and Foden starting against Malta is slim.
Regardless, Malta should be a straightforward task for England no matter who lines up. At 1.04 for the win, similarly to France, the bookmakers also expect a win. If you are entering England’s game on Friday night, you’ll likely need to utilise the bet builder and join multiple selections together.
We may be able to get an idea for what’s to come by looking back at Malta’s recent World Cup qualifying campaign:
The above are all losses. Malta didn’t have a chance, in hindsight. The opening two games in their Euros qualifying campaign has started in a continuing vein. A 2-1 defeat to North Macedonia was followed by 0-2 against Italy – two matches which were unable to pay out the proposed selection.
However, this England side should have enough to register on the scoresheet in both halves. Do that, and I expect the clean sheet may come along in Tandem.
