Girona are back in the Spanish top flight after a three-year absence. A convincing 3-1 victory over Getafe followed a narrow loss at Valencia courtesy of a Carlos Soler penalty. Getting that early win on the board certainly lifts some pressure.

The visitors finished a disappointing 11th last term. Starting the new season with two home games they would have hoped to have more than just one point on the board. Last weekend’s 4-1 thrashing at the hands of champions Real Madrid put paid to that. They will need to start their new away campaign better than they ended their last. Eduardo Coudet saw his side win just one of their last 10 road trips.

My focus here is on the man Los Celestes will hope can kick start their season, Iago Aspas.

Two weeks ago I unsuccessfully tipped Vincenzo Grifo to score against Dortmund. This represents an even better opportunity for the 29-Year-Old to add to his goals tally.

Grifo was the match winner for Freiburg last weekend. Having established himself as one of the best exponents of a set piece in the Bundesliga. The Italian’s 50th goal for his club came in open play. A rare blank in their last outing at Torino meant two dropped points for Lazio. They will be pleased to return to home soil where they opened the season with a 2-1 win over Bologna.
