Friday Night Acca: Friday, October 14th

From the Friday night lights of London town to County Donegal and MAC³PARK Stadion, we’ve plucked out three potential betting angles here at bettingexpert News. Let’s get started.

In this article:

Brentford vs Brighton Preview

England, Premier League, Friday, October 14th, 20:00 (UK)

The Premier League’s offering in London headlines Friday night football in Europe. That is unless your footballing persuasion would take a detour to Hoffenheim’s visit to Schalke or Rayo Vallecano’s hosting of Getafe.

Thomas Frank’s busy Bees have a game in store. A Brighton side, fresh off the back of scoring three at Anfield and falling just short against Spurs, ready themselves for Roberto De Zerbi’s second away game of the season. The Italian took the gig at The Amex and assured Brighton supporters he wouldn’t be ripping up the script that Graham Potter so painstakingly put together.

And he hasn’t, although delving into the stats – we do see some slight differences. The number of player passes in search of a more possession-focused style of play is one. For example, against Tottenham, Alexis Mac Allister managed to rack up a season-high in attempted passes. The Argentine’s 116 in central midfield is far and away from the 66 completed earlier in the season versus West Ham. Of course, the game state played its part with The Seagulls chasing the game, but that’s a huge jump.

Brentford vs Brighton Best Bet

The 48 attempted at Anfield is also a total to ponder. Only in two of eight matches had Mac Allister beaten the 48 passes total – vs Newcastle and West Ham. Seeing that much of the ball at Anfield, coupled with the three-figure number against Spurs, makes the proposed pick one to consider.

Unfortunately, the passing line has shifted quite dramatically, with bet365 releasing the 50+ passing line at around evens. We’re certainly not the first to have a punt on Mac Allister passes, though there may still be some value there if we continue to see more of the same.

  • Selection: Alexis Mac Allister O61.5 Passes
  • Best Odds: 1.83 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Finn Harps vs Dundalk Preview

Ireland, Premier Division, Friday, October 14th, 20:00 (UK)

A 93rd-minute Adam O’Reilly strike earned a victory for St Patrick’s in Dundalk’s last outing in the league. It’s a result that brings the two closer together in the table. Just one point separates 3rd from 4th.

Now, Dundalk’s focus is nearer the bottom of the standings as Finn Harps prepare to welcome a Dundalk side that has conceded 37 fewer goals than them this season. The 62 goals conceded from 32 matches is on par with UC Dublin, who occupy last place in the division but remain on the same points.

So, it’s a straight shootout between the two over in Ireland this season for the worst-in-class tag, with goals once again expected on Friday night. Finn Harps’ matches have averaged 2.84 goals per90 this term. A sizable chunk of that came from those occupying the opposing changing room.

Finn Harps vs Dundalk Best Bet

Twelve of the last 15 Finns Harp matches have encouraged two or more goals at the wrong end. Contrastingly, Dundalk have only managed to score multiple goals away from home in 4/16 this term.

That 25% strike rate goes some way to explaining the Evens price on offer, but if there’s a side Dundalk are more than capable of putting two goals past, it’s Finns Harps. The 2+ Dundalk goals market has landed in 4/5 recent head-to-head meetings.

  • Selection: Dundalk 2+ Goals
  • Best Odds: 2.00 (Paddy Power)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Zwolle vs Heracles Preview

Netherlands, Eerste Divisie, Friday, October 14th, 19:00 (UK)

The top 2 in the Eerste Divisie meet on Friday to welcome the weekend in. It’s a double act that performed for crowds in the top league last season before meeting their fate and dropping down a division.

Heracles lead the way, having ticked off 2+ goals in 9/10 matches to date, winning 7/10 fixtures. Zwolle aren’t too far behind in 2nd, five points adrift, but only scoring three fewer than a rampant Heracles. Both come into Friday night as the top scorers in the division.

Zwolle vs Heracles Best Bet

Let’s hope that this doesn’t become a cagey affair and that both teams continue to find the net. BTTS and over 2.5 goals at 1.90 could be something that eases in.

The market has paid out for punters in 5/5 Zwolle home matches, whilst Heracles on the road have been a little more stingy in that respect – 1/5.

  • Selection: BTTS and O2.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 1.90 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Odds as at 11:00, October, 13th, 2022. Odds may now differ.

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?

A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
