As we round up the action in Group H, we have Ghana v Uruguay bet builder tips here at bettingexpert. This fixture has been billed as a ‘revenge game’ – a repeat of their meeting at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. All eyes are on Luis Suarez here after his antics 12 years ago. The game carries so much weight and progression is up for grabs at Al Janoub Stadium on Friday.

World Cup Group H, Friday, December 2nd, 15:00 (UK)
This is a blockbuster game and one of the best ties of the final round of group games at the 2022 World Cup.
Following their close 3-2 defeat to Portugal, Ghana gave their qualification hopes a boost by claiming a narrow win over South Korea on Monday. It was a game that could have slipped away after throwing a two-goal lead but Ghana fought back to win. They were finally on the right side of the 3-2 scoreline.
The Black Stars have Mohammed Kudus to thank for their attacking prowess. He has been one of the revelations of the tournament so far. The Ajax youngster has been crucial in linking the midfield to the attack with his bursting runs.
On the other hand, Uruguay’s woes in front of goal continued as they failed to score and were rightly beaten by round-of-16-bound Portugal 2-0 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
They were second best through the night as their attackers – Luis Suarez, Darwin Nunez, and Edinson Cavani – failed to find the right connection. Having failed to win their opening game against South Korea, the Uruguayans now have it all to do against the African side.
A win and if South Korea fails to beat Portugal could send them through to the round of 16. Meanwhile, the task is simple for Ghana, avoid defeat and there is a high chance they will finish second in Group H and qualify alongside Portugal for the last 16.
As the pair last met at the 2010 World Cup where Suarez was sent-off for handling the ball on the goal line and Ghana missed the resulting penalty. There may be some tension in this game.
Ghana coach Otto Addo will be hopeful that talisman Kudus is good to go for this one as well as Thomas Partey in the heart of the midfield. Going by their setup in the game against Portugal, expect Ghana to sit back and rely on counterattacks to get the job done.
Based on their performances in Qatar so far, Ghana look prepared for a place in the second round. However, their lack of organisation at the back could cost them if the South Americans can find any rhythm.
In addition, being a match of great magnitude, Ghana’s resolve will be tested by the Uruguayans who will not want to depart the tournament without making a mark.
Games involving Ghana in this tournament have produced a lot of goals and if the likes of Suarez, Nunez, and Cavani can find their range, this could be another goal fest.
However, Ghana’s goalkeeper Lawrence Zigi made some good saves against the Koreans to keep them in the game. He will need to be on his toes against a much more formidable opposition.
With basically everything to play, I expect constant attacks at both ends of the pitch and it should be enough for Uruguay to score their first goal in Qatar as well as both teams to trouble each other.
