Jimmy’s Punt: 1800.00 Long Shot Looking at Goalscorers this Weekend

Jimmy’s Punt: Saturday, March 11th
It was a bit of a roller coaster for last weekend’s punt.
I touted the tried and tested Jordan Pickford card, coupled with an Everton win and despite leading twice, the Toffee’s shot stopper did not really have an opportunity to showcase his gamesmanship.
Sean Dyche’s side didn’t manage to hold onto the three points anyway. While the game boiled over, Pickford was not one of the eight players carded.
This weekend, I have gone for a centre-back goalscorer trixie at odds of 1800.00 with Sky Bet.
For those unaware, a trixie splits your stake across every combination of doubles and the treble as well meaning if any two legs of the bet hit, we are paid out.
This may be confusing but the majority of bookmakers have the option to create these kinds of bets with ease. Just select ‘Multiples’ or ‘All Multiples’ on the bet slip and go from there.

Tottenham vs Forest Preview
England, Premier League, Saturday, March 11, 15:00 (UK)
In his managerial career, Antonio Conte has only made it past the round of 16 in the Champions League once when his Juventus side beat Celtic.
He did not buck this trend in midweek as AC Milan edged his Tottenham side out of the competition.
This means that, in the space of a week, Spurs have been dumped out of the FA Cup and the UCL, making it impossible to put an end to their 15-year wait for a trophy this season.
Focus will return to securing a spot in Europe’s premium competition for next season and with Liverpool breathing down their necks, three points will be vital here.
Since their shock win over Manchester City, their form has been very inconsistent, winning as many games as they have lost in their last four league games.
Luckily for them, Nottingham Forest do not travel very well at all. This season, 79% of the Tricky Tree’s 26 points have come at the City Ground. Their tally of six points in 12 away games means there is no worse side in the top flight then Steve Cooper’s side.
Forest have only won one of their eight games on the road, losing eight.
Tottenham vs Forest Best Bet
Cristian Romero received his marching orders for two bookable offences on Wednesday, the suspension does not carry into domestic football though.
That said, whilst I would not put it past him, I am hoping Conte does not hold a grudge here and leave him out of the XI for the visit of Forest. The World Cup winner is too important of a player to exclude.
It would be a perfect time for the defender to grab his first goal of the season.
It is a surprise to see he has not broken his duck yet, given how strong his side are from set pieces.
Spurs have scored the most goals in the division from dead ball situations (12) and generated an xG of 10.07.
Forest, on the other hand, have shipped the first most in the top flight (10).
- Selection: Cristian Romero Anytime Goalscorer
- Best Odds: 18.00 (Unibet)
- Stakes: 5/10
Shrewsbury vs Morecambe Preview
England, League One, Saturday, March 11, 15:00 (UK)
The next selection comes from League One where Shrewsbury welcomes Morecambe.
The hosts are nine points of the play-offs and going form is faltering at the minute, winning two, drawing two and losing two of their last six games.
Following a 2-1 defeat at Peterborough, Steve Cotterill could rotate here. Rekeil Pike, Carl Winchester and Tom Bloxham could all drop out for Jordan Shipley, Killian Phillips and Ryan Bowman all expected to come in.
At 1.73, Cotterill side are expected to win this fixture though against a Shrimps side that occupies the final relegation spot.
Derek Adams’ side are well in amongst the scrap for survival, a point off of safety with four teams above them well within range.
They have only won one of their last seven games though, in a period that has seen them score three goals and keep a solitary clean sheet.
Shrewsbury vs Morecambe Best Bet
Former Sheffield Wednesday man Cheyenne Dunkley is the selection here.
Unlike Romero, this defender has scored some goals this campaign, in fact, he has found the net four times and notched up a further three assists.
In 35 league appearances, Dunkley has averaged 0.6 shots per game, having six attempts in his last six domestic appearances.
Only one side in League One have scored more goals from set pieces than Shrewsbury’s tally of 18.
No centre back in the league can best Dunkley’s tally of four goals making him one of the most prolific goalscoring defenders in one of the most prolific set piece sides.
Rather fittingly, Morecambe ranks first in the league for shots conceded from set pieces (1782), xG (11.93) and joint second for goals conceded (13).
- Selection: Cheyenne Dunkley Anytime Goalscorer (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 10.00 (William Hill)
- Stakes: 5/10

Newport vs Bradford Preview
England, League Two, Saturday, March 11, 15:00 (UK)
The final selection comes via the fourth tier, where Newport County face Bradford City.
Newport sit in 18th on 38 points but they are well clear of the drop zone, 12 points to be exact with 12 games to play.
The Exiles have only won one of their last six games and have not fared too well at Rodney Parade this campaign, taking 16 points from as many games, a tally only Rochdale have failed to amass.
Unfortunately for them, they face a Bantam side that are the best away from home in the division.
Mark Hughes’ side have taken 31 points from 17 games and have not lost any of the six games on their travels since the turn of the year.
Bradford sit 5th in a congested group of 10. Leyton Orient are well clear, the title seems a formality, 11 points ahead of Calisle in 2nd. After them though, only 10 points separate 2nd down to 10th.
Victory for Bradford on Saturday could see them rise to 3rd while defeat could see them drop to 8th.
Newport vs Bradford Best Bet
Despite their unconvincing home form, I like the look of Priestley Farquharson in the anytime goalscorer market.
The centre back has had a direct hand in seven of his side’s league goals this campaign, averaging 0.8 shots per game, scoring in his side’s most recent game and registering an assist in the game before.
His goals per 90 average (0.13) from the campaign makes anything over 8.00 value here.
No side in the division has scored more goals from set pieces than Newport (16), and only three have shipped more than Bradford (16).
- Selection: Priestley Farquharson Anytime Goalscorer
- Best Odds: 12.00 (bet365)
- Stakes: 5/10

WHAT IS A FOOTBALL ACCA?
A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create Premier League accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
