This week Italy’s must watch game is on Saturday evening and here’s our Juventus vs AC Milan prediction, team news, lineups and fixtures preview, courtesy of our Serie A expert, Daniele Fisichella.
Prediction: Juventus 1-1 AC Milan
With the Scudetto already won by Inter Milan, pride is at stake more than any other time in this classic of Italian football.
Both Bianconeri and the Rossoneri feel bruised after a series of negative results which have cast further doubts on whether Massimiliano Allegri and Stefano Pioli will continue at the clubs come the summer.
Bettingexpert Football Editor, Sam Ingram, joins host Daniel Jenkins reacts to the happenings over the last week and discuss football’s most significant, and most peculiar stories worldwide.

Italy, Serie A, Saturday, April 27th, 17:00 (UK)
Juventus made a lucky escape on Tuesday as, after being dominated by Lazio, they avoided going into extra time thanks to Arek Milik’s goal with three minutes to go.
Another lacklustre performance for the Bianconeri, who lacked rhythm and intensity and conceded two cheap goals to Igor Tudor’s men.
However, the late introductions of Iling Jr (who provided the assist) and the Polish striker helped Juve to qualify for the Coppa Italia final, where they hope to end their three-year-long trophy drought.
The hosts have only won two of the last nine games in all competitions and surrendered the title chase back in February.
During this difficult season they’ve never been able to consistently impose their style of play and lately have also started shipping more goals than in the past.
Juve have only kept four clean sheets since the end of January (14 games in total) in all competitions, although they haven’t conceded in their last three matches played at the ‘Juventus Stadium’.
AC Milan, who are the only Serie A team, alongside leaders Inter, never failing to score away from home, could profit from Juve’s recent wobbles.
But if the hosts are struggling, AC Milan could not approach this big game in a worse state of mind.
The Rossoneri are winless in the last four games in all competitions and, in the space of 10 days, have been knocked out from the Europa League by Roma and lost the derby.
Monday’s 2-1 defeat against Inter (the sixth consecutive for AC Milan in the ‘Derby Della Madonnina’) meant the Nerazzurri celebrated the title right in front of their city rivals.
The result confirmed the AC Milan squad needs to be well strengthened in the summer if they want to be competitive, but who’s going to be at the helm of it is anyone’s guess.
Manager Stefano Pioli has been under pressure all season and the team’s decent results, AC Milan have only two points less in the table than when they won the title in 2021/2022, have been overshadowed by a sense of inferiority against Inter.
The visitors have lost focus in the key moments of two big matches, against Roma and Inter, conceding early, avoidable goals.
A mistake they must not repeat on Saturday against the ‘Old Lady’.
The Bianconeri have only failed to score twice at home this season, but only five games have produced more than three goals.
Juventus have missed a lot of scoring chances, especially in front of their crowd (their xG differential in Turin is +5.62), but their opportunistic approach has often made them incapable of establishing early leads.
In fact, Allegri’s men have failed to score in 20 league games before the break, and at home, they’ve only found the net on five occasions in the first half, for a total of just eight goals.
Considering only the first half’s standings Juventus would be 11th, which speaks volume of their approach to matches this season.
On the other hand, AC Milan is the team has scored most away goals (17) in the first half, but their defensive record on the road is poor: 29 goals conceded in Serie A (only Frosinone, Salernitana and Sassuolo have a worst tally) and only five away clean sheets in all competitions.
Dusan Vlahovic has been involved in 12 Serie A goals (two assists, 10 goals) in 2024, more than anybody else.
Given AC Milan’s perennial defensive issues and their makeshift back four, the Serbian striker could add to his season tally (17 signatures), thanks also to his free-kick ability.
Vlahovic has scored four direct free kicks in the last two seasons, more than any other player in Europe’s top 5 leagues.
