Sunny Spain delivers a climactic end to the season with sides at both ends still scrapping for the right to be heard. With the importance of certain fixtures outweighing others, bettingexpert have shifted focus to those at the bottom in search of three profitable angles. Corners, Corners, Corners…

It’s a low corner line from bet365 for what is a significant fixture in Mallorca’s hopeful great escape. The inhabitants of Mallorca, adrift of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea, will be hoping their side isn’t adrift of Cadiz in 17th come next weekend.
Going off the stats, I’m not surprised the bookmaker’s algorithm has produced the 8.5 Asian corner line. However, it isn’t all about season averages at this stage of the campaign. There’s much more at work here – specifically, teams adopting whole new approaches and game plans due to survival hanging by a thread.
Two of my recent selections in La Liga have shown that the season’s trends can be bucked. On Thursday, Cadiz recorded 12 corners vs Real Sociedad, with the Asian corner line at 9. Cadiz’s season average before that game? 3.76 per90.
On Wednesday, Deportivo Alavés’ midweek fixture saw the home side produce 12 corners against a visiting Espanyol. Bet365 had the corner line at 9.5. Before the match, Alavés’ season average for corners forced stood at 3.35 per90. That total was the smallest corner average in La Liga.
Moving onto Mallorca, who boasts a lowly 4.33 home corners per90, perhaps we’ll witness more of the same.
Rayo Vallecano provides the opposition on Sunday for Mallorca. Although playing for nothing come the business end of the season, the plucky outfit from the capital brings a 4.56 away corner average. With a cumulative total of 8.89, the averages suggest this wager should go close as it is.
Add in the game state and the need for Mallorca to attack and supply pressure in the final third, and we may be onto a winner.

With Deportivo Alavés clearing the corner line by themselves midweek at home to Espanyol, I can’t ignore them on Sunday. There’s a lot on the line here for both clubs. A loss for either side will confirm relegation to La Liga 2.
Realistically, Levante will not be plying their trade in the top flight next season. They’d need a sizable goal difference swing even with six points from their remaining games and other results going in their favour.
Alavés, on the other hand, do have a shred of hope to hold onto. It’s not in their hands, but two victories would give them a fighting chance if Mallorca and Cadiz fail to put the necessary points on the board.
Therefore, we can expect plenty of attacking intent for either side as they desperately fight for the three points. It may become a cagey affair, but as soon as there is a goal, any football with the handbrake on should go out of the window.
Without getting too bogged down with corner averages, I do feel they are important to note. Levante’s corner total at home from 18 games comes in at 4.94 per90, whilst the visitors boast a 3.44 average.
Let’s hope the game state overshadows season averages once again.

Continuing the same theme and sticking with corners, it’s relegation-threatened vs the Champions in Cadiz. This match-up is a little different to those above.
Firstly, there’s a very apparent gulf in class. But in addition, Cadiz’s corners forced per90 average is one which is impressive. At 5.06 from 18 fixtures, the hosts have more than enough in their arsenal to rack up the flags as Ancelotti’s Real Madrid waltzes into town.
It won’t come as a surprise that the visitors’ 5.11 per90 away from home is one of the best in the division. Only Real Sociedad and Athletic Club surpass the modern-day Galacticos. Although playing for nothing, Real Madrid will be afforded chances. Real had 36 shots in the December head-to-head as Alavés es held out for a 0-0 draw. The corner count? 13-2.
Cadiz needs a victory to keep the three sides below them at bay, as unlikely as it may be. Nevertheless, if the hosts do succumb to Real Madrid, as many do, they face an Alavés outfit on the final day who may be able to clinch survival with a win.

A La Liga acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A La Liga acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create La Liga accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the La Liga acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
