The FA Cup quarter-finals have reduced the Premier League weekend programme to just four matches. I’ve put together an 9.00 bet builder for one of those fixtures, which sees FA cup holders Leicester City host Brentford.
Leicester approach Sunday’s fixture on the back of qualification in the UEFA Conference League – a competition Brendan Rodgers claimed he didn’t know about back in December. Despite Rodgers’ lack of enthusiasm towards the tournament, it has actually helped his side find some form in the league.
Prior to first-leg victory against Randers in their round of 32 tie, Leicester had only won one of their previous six Premier League matches, with groans of discontent echoing amongst the Foxes’ fanbase. However, back-to-back league victories at the start of this month – for the first time since October – have instilled a new belief that something can be made of this stop-start season.

Leicester can move up into 9th position if they take maximum points from their three games in hand. The first of which comes against a Brentford team full of confidence. Thomas Frank’s men eased fears of an immediate return to the Championship with consecutive wins against relegation rivals Norwich and Burnley, moving them eight points above the dropzone.
Ivan Toney scored all five of his side’s goals in those crucial victories, and he is very much the man in form heading into this weekend. Brentford’s top scorer will fancy his chances of finding the net this weekend, especially considering Leicester have only managed four clean sheets at the King Power Stadium this campaign.
Leicester’s improved form of late, alongside their impressive record against the promoted sides this season, gives me confidence that they can come away with all three points on Sunday. The previous meeting between these sides featured over 2.5 goals; I’m counting on the same outcome again. James Maddison and Ivan Toney look certain starters for their respective teams, and I fancy them both to deliver shots on target in this fixture. Lastly, referee Darren England likes giving out cards and Brentford don’t have the best disciplinary record, so cards for the away side is an appealing extra to boost the bet builder.

A bet builder is a kind of accumulator bet solely focussed on one match. A standard acca features multiple selections across different selections combined together into one bet. If one selection loses, the whole bet loses. A bet builder is similar but each selection is placed on the same match. Similar to the American prop bet, the bet builder goes into detail on a single match. Common selections include match outcome, total goals, cards, corners, and players to score.
