A recent rivalry will be resumed on Saturday and this means we have Leicester vs Tottenham bet builder tips to share. Tips that will focus on whether the Foxes can build on their impressive showing at Aston Villa last Saturday.
While they will also focus on whether Tottenham can themselves build on a fantastic showing last Sunday and after getting the better of Manchester City, Spurs’ top-four hopes have been given a real shot in the arm.
In this article:
England, Premier League, Saturday, February 11th, 15:00 (UK)
With the frequent dismissals of Premier League managers, Brendan Rodgers has managed to avoid such a fate at Leicester – at least for now. After leading the Foxes to a 4-2 victory at Aston Villa, he has secured himself more time in his position.
How long that additional time is, only the Leicester owners will know and the further Rodgers can lead the Foxes up the table, the longer the former Liverpool and Celtic boss will be afforded the opportunity to stick about.
If he is afforded the opportunity, he will still need to work on Leicester’s defence and although it was difficult to make a case for them at the weekend, they were at least bailed out by their attacking teammates instead.
Something that may have been the case when Tottenham visit on Saturday and although Antonio Conte was not hand to bark out the orders last weekend, Spurs still managed a victory over title hopefuls Manchester City.
A victory that has once again made the North London outfit Champions League hopefuls for next season and with back-to-back Premier League wins coming after successive defeats, there is a sense that a corner has to be turned.
If that is the case, the likes of Harry Kane and Hueng-min Son will need to lead them onto the finishing straight and now that the former has finally broken Spurs’ all-time goal record, he will look to hunt down Alan Shearer’s Premier League tally as well.
Since the 2015/16 season, it is fair to say that these two have no love for each other. It was Leicester who ended up winning the Premier League title, it was Tottenham who somehow finished 3rd in a two-horse race.
With Tottenham in form, they will be well-placed to win a third successive league encounter and especially as they have beaten Leicester in each of the last four meetings. I have opted for the away win at the weekend and if this is to happen, a Harry Kane goal should not be far away either. 267 are now in the history books, I am backing him to net at least 268.
While during those last four meetings between the two sides, both teams have found the net and with Hugo Lloris being ruled out for six weeks, Tottenham’s recent stability may just wobble a little.
Add that wobble to Leicester’s own leaky defence and both teams finding the net should not be an issue. Because of this, I have also opted for over three goals being scored in total and all four selections combined can be found at the inviting price of 8.00.
