The Premier League games are coming thick and fast, which means we have Manchester United vs Everton bet builder tips ahead of this weekend’s clash.
Everton are in a precarious position in the league but there is a general feeling that Dyche is the man to steer them to safety. Manchester United are still in three competitions and there have been signs of fatigue since the league cup final.
In this article:
England, Premier League, Saturday, April 8th, 12:30 (UK)
Manchester United welcome Everton to Old Trafford in this weekend’s early kick-off. It’s an important fixture for both sides. United are looking to cement their place in the top four after briefly entering 5th this week. Everton are battling against relegation and every point is crucial.
Erik Ten Hag’s side haven’t been at their best since they won the League Cup at the end of February. They have lost just two of those eight matches but performances have been below par. Casemiro’s suspension has had a huge impact on the way the team plays. The Red Devils will be relieved to see the talismanic Brazilian return to action after the weekend.
United’s home form has been fantastic this season. They have won 23 of their 28 matches at Old Trafford in all competitions but they will be wary of the threat that Everton pose.
The Toffees are 16th in the league, two points clear of the relegation zone. They are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches but they have only managed one win in that period. The bottom of the table is tightly congested and Sean Dyche knows that even a point here could prove to be decisive.
Brighton remain the only side to go to Old Trafford and win this season in Ten Hag’s competitive match in charge. Since then, only Newcastle and Southampton have earned a point at the stadium.
Over the course of their 14 home matches in the Premier League, United are conceding just 0.57 goals per game. They haven’t been free-scoring and it is widely expected that they will look to bring in a striker this summer. Ten Hag’s side are averaging 1.79 goals per game in the league. Rashford has been in fine scoring form since the World Cup but he is the only United player to score more than 10 goals this season.
Scoring has been a problem for Everton this season. They have been toothless in attack and they failed to bring in reinforcements in the January window. This has led Dyche to try and make them more solid at the back.
Prior to his arrival, Everton were conceding 1.73 goals per game in the Premier League. During his nine league matches, they conceded 1.44 goals per game. This is despite the fact that five of those matches have come against the ‘big six’.
Everton will remain resolute on Saturday and I don’t see them getting blown away. Manchester United responded to the lacklustre performance against Newcastle by beating Brentford. United have won their last two matches against Everton and they haven’t been beaten by the Toffees at Old Trafford since 2013.
