I’ve gone for a Sunday afternoon bet builder at odds of 13.00, as Manchester City play host to Newcastle and with the Etihad outfit starting the weekend at the top of the table, it is not a standing they are looking to relinquish by the end of it.

Of course, this is also a Manchester City side that now finds themselves with no trip to Paris at the end of the month and although the tickets were all but printed, there was a fundamental error in Madrid on Wednesday.
One that saw a one-goal aggregate advantage quickly switched to a deficit of the same margin and with European heartbreak now at the forefront for Pep Guardiola and his players, this does have the potential to completely derail City’s season.
Because this football juggernaut is powered by wins and wins alone and with a stunning reverse happening in the Spanish capital just days ago, the Etihad outfit must now pick themselves up and go again in the Premier League.
Especially as the Premier League trophy is now the only one on offer this season and for a campaign that promised so much both home and abroad, there is a real chance that they draw a blank on both fronts.

While there is also the prospect of starting Sunday lying second in the table and if Liverpool do the business against Tottenham an evening before, this will only serve to add more pressure on City’s shoulders.
Which means the visit of Newcastle will be a test for both manager and players alike and although the blue half of Manchester have seemingly had all the questions in the Premier League thus far, there is still one more module to complete.
A module that sees four more matches between now and the final day and if the current leaders win them all, that will guarantee them a fourth league crown in just five years. Then again, failure to pick up a maximum haul of 12, will only hand the advantage to rivals Liverpool.
However, all this battered and bruised team can do is take one game at a time and with Newcastle failing to derail Liverpool’s title bid last weekend, there is little reason to suggest that they can land a body blow on Sunday’s hosts.
Which is why a home win and a clean sheet to go alongside it, is something that seems rather tempting before the weekend and at odds of 1.83, this will also look good on any Sunday accumulator.
Then again, this is not the only market that takes my fancy and with no more than nine corners currently priced at 2.00 before Sunday’s festivities, this could also be an interesting way to double your money.
Bet Builder is available at 13.00 Odds.
Before the weekend, I have plumped for a Manchester City win and I think they will take their frustration out on Newcastle with a halftime and fulltime win to go with it. Add Gabriel Jesus getting the hosts off the mark and at least one card per side, and this is my Etihad betting construction.

A bet builder is a kind of accumulator bet solely focussed on one match. A standard acca features multiple selections across different selections combined together into one bet. If one selection loses, the whole bet loses. A bet builder is similar but each selection is placed on the same match. Similar to the American prop bet, the bet builder goes into detail on a single match. Common selections include match outcome, total goals, cards, corners, and players to score.
