Manchester United have nothing more than pride to play for as they welcome Brentford to Old Trafford in what has been a disappointing campaign by any standard. Brentford could yet heap more misery on Ralf Rangnick’s men, with the Bees enjoying something of a purple patch of their own. I’ve gone with a bet builder of 12.00 odds for a game that could go either way.

Manchester United are set for their lowest points tally ever in the Premier League and things have never looked so dark as the season comes to an end. With 35 games played, the Red Devils trail fourth-placed Arsenal by five points, having played two more than the North London side.
Ralf Rangnick has already conceded that any hope of a top-four finish is all but over and he is right, especially given his side’s woeful form at the moment. If you still believe in miracles, Bet365 still have 3.25 odds on offer for the Red Devils to finish in fourth place. Mathematically, it is possible but logic says otherwise.
Manchester United have only two wins from their last nine league games, losing four in that time. It gets worse when you realize that United could realistically still miss out on a European spot overall if their slump continues and other results go against them.

It is a different story for Brentford, who are enjoying their best run of the season. Christian Eriksen might have been the good fortune they needed as his introduction sparked life and possibly luck into their squad.
Five wins from their last eight league games have seen the Bees move up to 12th and two points shy of a top-half finish as it stands. As of December, bookmakers had them as one of the likely sides to be relegated and their current position does say a lot about their fortunes.
Even more impressive is how they have held their own against the so-called ‘big sides’. A 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea, a 2-0 victory over West Ham and a dominant 0-0 draw against Tottenham would have done good to their morale.
Regardless, I am going against form and I can see United getting something out of this game if they don’t win. Cristiano Ronaldo will remain the obvious danger man for the hosts and there is a good omen to his side’s fortunes whenever he scores.
United won the reverse fixture in January by a 3-1 fixture and I’m backing the out-of-form side to complete the double against Brentford in the concluding fixture of game week 35.
Bet Builder is available at 13.00 odds.
Though Brentford are in a clearly better form at the moment, I’m backing Manchester United to return to winning ways here. They are unbeaten in their last eight games at Old Trafford and they will fancy their chances of winning here.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored EIGHT out of Manchester United’s last nine Premier League goals and backing him to score at home seems like the way to go for sure. In a game that could be physical in the middle of the park, Scott McTominay could be prone to rash challenges and I can see him getting booked.

A bet builder is a kind of accumulator bet solely focussed on one match. A standard acca features multiple selections across different selections combined together into one bet. If one selection loses, the whole bet loses. A bet builder is similar but each selection is placed on the same match. Similar to the American prop bet, the bet builder goes into detail on a single match. Common selections include match outcome, total goals, cards, corners, and players to score.
