We’re back in midweek with some Manchester United vs Chelsea bet builder tips. It’s a massive match historically with two of England’s most successful clubs facing off. Things are a little different this season with very little to play for at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge.

Ralph Rangnick’s side still have a chance of landing a spot in the top 4. The Red Devils are six points behind Arsenal in 4th who have a game in hand. It’s an outside shot but there is still Europa League qualification to play for.

A top 4 spot looks solidified for the Blues. They’re seven points ahead of Tottenham in 5th and have a game in hand over their North London rivals. The Blues can still technically win the title but their only realistic chance of silverware will be the FA Cup.

The Blues come into this one as the favourites. Chelsea are available at around 2.25 to secure all three points. United are at 3.20 with the draw slightly further out at 3.40. The bookies have given United a quarter of a goal in the Asian lines.

But a Blues win goes against what we’ve seen in recent years. Chelsea haven’t won a Premier League match at Old Trafford since the 2012-13 season. It was Sir Alex Ferguson’s final defeat as Manchester United manager.

It’s the first time that Thomas Tuchel has taken this Chelsea team there. Tuchel has won on both of his previous trips to Old Trafford. His PSG side won there twice in the Champions League before he headed to Stamford Bridge. Tuchel has also beaten manager Ralph Rangnick on four of their five previous meetings in the Bundesliga.

The bookies are expecting an exciting match. The goal line is at 2.75 for this clash at Old Trafford with 2.025 odds offered for the over. History suggests that won’t be the case. Each of the last four Premier League meetings between the clubs have finished with under 2.5 goals.

I’m expecting Manchester United’s unbeaten record against the Blues to continue here. They’ve done extremely well against Chelsea in the last decade. They look good value to continue that run given recent form.

Cards are a likelihood as previously mentioned. I’m also looking at shots per match. Cristiano Ronaldo has average 4.1 shots per match in the Premier League this season. Over 2.5 looks good.
