I’ve gone for a Friday evening bet builder at odds of 9.50, as Newcastle play host to Wolves and with the Magpies suffering three successive defeats in the Premier League, the threat of relegation is yet to be removed.

Three away days for Newcastle, nothing in the way of points. That has been the tale of the tape for Eddie Howe’s men in recent weeks and with a home fixture awaiting them this Friday, it is one that will be rather welcome.
With that said, Newcastle must prepare for the visit of a resurgent Wolves side and with the Molineux outfit having won three of their last four league outings, they are not looking to have their momentum stalled anytime soon.
Especially as a win on Tyneside would move Wolves up to sixth – even if it is only for a few hours and if they do manage a maximum haul against the Magpies, it will only serve to ask questions of both West Ham and Manchester United.
Which is why the race for European qualification is one that is so fascinating and with eight clubs currently competing over seven invites at best (a figure that could be six if Crystal Palace win the FA Cup), it is still all to play for.

While when it comes to Newcastle’s own plight, their recent state of relaxation is no more and although their previous nine-game unbeaten run was nothing short of impressive, it is also becoming something of a distant memory.
Then again, without such an impressive run of results behind them, their situation towards the bottom of the Premier League would be a whole lot worse and although they have done a considerable amount of work to avoid relegation, their work is not yet done.
When it comes to work, it seems as if Newcastle’s medical team will be the busiest of all before the weekend and with an ever-growing list to contend with, manager Eddie Howe will hope some of the recent absentees can return on Friday.
Returning players or not, Wolves to come out on top certainly takes my fancy and with their penchant for defence being visible for all to see, I am not sure this is going to be a game that lends itself to plenty of goals.
Which is why Wolves to win on Friday at odds of 3.40 seems rather appealing and for those who like to add a bit of meat to the bones, you can add a total of under four goals to your slip – something that boosts my tip to 4.00.
As mentioned, I think Wolves will win, but the game will be even after the first 10 minutes. Add no more than four corners for the Molineux outfit to both teams receiving no more than a card each and this is Friday’s Premier League bet builder.

A bet builder is a kind of accumulator bet solely focussed on one match. A standard acca features multiple selections across different selections combined together into one bet. If one selection loses, the whole bet loses. A bet builder is similar but each selection is placed on the same match. Similar to the American prop bet, the bet builder goes into detail on a single match. Common selections include match outcome, total goals, cards, corners, and players to score.
