The Premier League is back for another weekend of action. Here at bettingexpert Expert Insights, we have previewed and selected a bet for three different matches on Saturday that may take your fancy.
In this article:
England, Premier League, Saturday, February 25th, 15:00 (UK)
Leicester could count themselves unfortunate to leave Old Trafford with a 3-0 defeat last weekend. The Foxes started brightly; David De Gea made some cracking saves early, keeping the game level. Brendan Rodgers’ side racked up 19 shots, with three coming on target, and I’m expecting them to have some joy when they host the league leaders.
Mikel Arteta’s side have the best away record in the top flight. They’ve taken 28 points from a possible 36 but have recorded just a single win in their last five in all competitions. Villa caused Arsenal a fair few problems last weekend, especially in the first half. Leicester have improved in recent weeks, and they’ll give Arsenal a good run for their money at the King Power.
James Maddison, Tete, Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho are a dangerous quartet and will be keen to get at the Gunners’ back line. Those four have scored six goals combined in the last three Premier League outings.
With Leicester’s attacking line expected to cause problems, I’m keen to get them onside in a different kind of market. The hosts are priced at 2.06 to register over 3.5 shots on target in this match.
Since the restart, seven of Arsenal’s nine opponents have seen this bet cash, including all four home sides. The odds against price looks appealing, with Leicester seemingly on the up.

In typical Sean Dyche style, Everton have won both games 1-0 at Goodison Park as they look to avoid the dreaded drop. The Toffees are 16th in the table and just a single point ahead of the bottom three; their best chance to earn points will be in front of the home fans.
Villa will be a tough test. They gave Arsenal a good run for their money last weekend and have scored in every game since the return. Ollie Watkins is the man in form, the 27-year-old has bagged in 4 consecutive games, and if he scores again here, it’ll break a Villa record.
When these sides met in this fixture last season, nine cards were shown, and I’m keen to get behind a card angle given how important this clash will be, especially for the home side. Since Dyche’s appointment, each side has been cautioned, and with two sides ranked in the top seven for yellow cards, we could see a handful in Merseyside.
Ollie Watkins will be full of confidence heading here. He’s a big price to score, but backing him to record a shot on target looks the appealing bet.
Anthony Taylor is the referee for this one. He’s booked both sides in 16 games from 17 in the current campaign. Goodison will be rocking, and with both sides useful for a card, combing the two angles makes an attractive bet.

Patrick Vieira’s time at Crystal Palace could be limited. His side haven’t won in any of their last eight matches and have a number of tricky games coming up. They welcome Liverpool on Saturday night, who have a great record at Selhurst Park.
Backing a result here isn’t the easiest of tasks. Liverpool are odds on favourites which just doesn’t appeal in the slightest given they’ve won just three times on the road in 11 attempts. Palace have a 4-4-4 (W-D-L) record at home with no win in their last five.
Darwin Nunez is a lively character; he’s a workhorse and has looked like a class act at times. The Uruguayan has bagged six times in the Premier League but should have a fair few more given his xG stats. Darwin has scored a goal every 187 minutes in his debut season and has found the back of the net in back-to-back matches.
Darwin Nunez has had multiple shots in every start this season and is slowly showing improvements. He’s priced at 2.87 to score anytime in the capital, which looks like a decent bet.
If Liverpool want to win this game, you’d expect that they’ll have to score a couple of goals given just how bad they’ve been defensively. Palace have the 8th worst xGA in the league and have kept just two clean sheets in 12 at home this campaign.
Odds via bet365 as at 13:40 February 24th 2023. Odds may now differ.
