We’re back with more Premier League best bets this Sunday. There are a further four matches today with the biggest of the lot taking place in Liverpool. This Merseyside Derby will have a big impact on both ends of the table. Before that, Chelsea take on West Ham and manager-less Burnley host Wolves.

Brighton vs Southampton Best Bet

Brighton host Southampton in this match on the South Coast. The Saints have had the better of their recent matches against the Seagulls. Southampton have lost only one of their last 10 competitive meetings with Brighton.

The home side rarely has the better of this matchup. None of the last 10 meetings between these clubs has been won by the host. The hosting team has never won this matchup in the Premier League. If Brighton fail to win this one then it will equal the Premier League record.

I’m avoiding the 1X2 and Asian handicap here. Instead, I’m looking at the both teams to score market. The goal line is low at 2.25 which shows that the bookies don’t expect much in either box. I agree but I think the BTTS market has more value. Both teams have scored in only one of Brighton’s last six and none of Southampton’s last three. I’m backing No on BTTS.

Burnley vs Wolves Best Bet

Manager-less Burnley aim to follow up their victory over Southampton in midweek with another one here. The Clarets host a Wolves side with an outside shot at European qualification.

It’s a matchup that Burnley have had the better of in recent seasons. They’re unbeaten in six Premier League matches against Wolves after losing each of their first three meetings with them. Wolves haven’t any of their last five visits to Turf Moor stretching back to 2010.

I’m looking at the goal line here. The bookies have it way down at 2.0 which feels very low. Wolves have the lowest average goals tally this season at 1.91 while Burnley are the third-lowest at 2.28. Still, four of Wolves’ last six Premier League matches have had two goals or more, as have all of Burnley’s last eight.

Chelsea vs West Ham Best Bet

Chelsea host West Ham for another London Derby. It’s the third one in a row for the Blues who beat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup before losing 4-2 to Arsenal in midweek. They’ve taken more points from London derbies than any other side in the Premier League this season.

West Ham have shown their inconsistency in recent weeks. It’s three wins, three defeats and three draws in their last nine in the Premier League. There is a clear contrast between their home and away form. They’ve won four of their last six at home but have only taken one point from their last five on the road.

I can see that changing here. I’m backing West Ham plus a goal on the Asian handicap market here. The Blues were far from impressive in midweek, especially defensively. Antonio Rudiger could well miss the match and it looks as if Andreas Christensen will join him on the sidelines. The Hammers have won three of their last five meetings with Chelsea and look good value plus a whole goal on the Asian Lines.

Liverpool vs Everton Best Bet

It’s a Merseyside Derby that looks about as one-sided as they come. 2nd-place Liverpool host 17th-placed Everton. The Toffees are hoping to upset the odds once again after winning this exact fixture last season. It was their only league victory over Liverpool at Anfield from 20 attempts.

It’s a fixture that rarely disappoints. The Merseyside Derby has seen more red cards and 90th-minute winners than any other Premier League fixture.

Take away the history and this match looks rather one-sided. We have the side with the best home record against the side with the worst away record. No Premier League side has taken more points or conceded fewer goals at home than Liverpool this season. No Premier League team has taken fewer points on the road than the Toffees.

With that in mind, I’m backing a big win for the Reds. The Asian handicap line is at Liverpool -2. That feels a little generous considering the Reds have only won one of their last eight home matches by fewer than two goals. The goal line is at 3.25 which suggests that the bookies expect a few goals. I can’t see Everton getting past this Liverpool defence so I’m expecting a resounding win for Klopp’s side.
