Luton vs Chelsea: Goal Kick a Constant at Kenilworth Road

England, Premier League, Saturday, 30th December, 12:30 (UK)

Luton have won their last two Premier League matches and can climb out of the relegation with a win on Saturday. They have been solid on home turf and remained competitive even when the big boys come to visit. Rob Edwards’ side are yet to lose a game at Kenilworth Road by more than one goal.

Chelsea picked up a much-needed win over Crystal Palace in their last match. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have struggled to build momentum in the first half of this campaign and they come into this clash in 10th place.

Luton matches have seen the most goal kicks in the league with an average of 17.61 per game. Their last home match against Newcastle saw a staggering 24 goal kicks. That’s well above the league average of 14.34. The home side will look to attack Chelsea and are capable of forcing a good amount of goal kicks with their direct approach.

The Blues’ matches have seen fewer goal-kicks but their head-to-head with Luton earlier this season saw 19 goal kicks. Chelsea won that match 3-0 and will be on the front foot once again.

  • Selection: Over 15.5 Goal Kicks In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Aston Villa vs Burnley: Villa Aim to Bounce Back

England, Premier League, Saturday, 30th December, 15:00 (UK)

Aston Villa looked to be coasting at Old Trafford but they squandered a two-goal lead and suffered a setback in their race to become title contenders. However, they remain just two points behind the league leaders and will be delighted with the work they have put in so far.

Burnley were the most highly fancied of the newly-promoted sides and the bookmakers predicted they would avoid the drop. Things haven’t gone according to plan and they are five points from safety and have just three wins in 19 matches.

Unai Emery’s side had 16 shots when they took on Burnley earlier this season. Villa have been exceptional at home in this campaign and while they are only averaging 15.11 shots per game over the course of those matches, they are facing a side that looks set to be relegated here.

Kompany’s men are conceding 17.67 shots per Premier League away game this season. Their last match on the road was against Fulham and they allowed their opponents to have 19 attempts.

  • Selection: Over 15.5 Shots For Aston Villa
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United: Shots Set to Fly at the City Ground

England, Premier League, Saturday, 30th December, 17:30 (UK)

Nottingham Forest sacked a popular Steve Cooper a couple of weeks ago and the new manager bounce is in full swing under Nuno Espirito Santo. They lost his first game in charge 3-2 but a red card early in the match didn’t help their chances. They won 3-1 at St. James’s Park in his second match in charge and are capable of taking the game to Manchester United here.

Erik Ten Hag’s side mounted an excellent comeback against Aston Villa and quashed any doubts about whether the dressing room are behind the Dutchman. Despite the win, United’s performances have been poor this season and there is a lot of work to be done in the coming months.

There have been 29 shots or more in both of Forest’s matches since Nuno took over. They have shown plenty of attacking impetus since Cooper was dismissed and that should continue here.

Manchester United have struggled defensively this season and their away matches are averaging 30.11 shots per game as a result. This bet has won in four of their last four matches on the road.

  • Selection: Over 27.5 Shots In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Fulham vs Arsenal: No Time to Panic for the Gunners

England, Premier League, Sunday, 30th December, 14:00 (UK)

Fulham have lost their last three Premier League matches without scoring. Marco Silva’s side had been in a rich vein of form prior to that run of results and the patchy nature of their attacking output is a conundrum. They have won five of their nine home matches this season and pose a threat for this wounded Arsenal side.

The Gunners suffered a shock defeat at the Emirates in their last game. They were beaten by West Ham and are now just three points in front of Manchester City in the league. Arteta knows his side need to return to winning ways quickly if they are to get their hands on an elusive Premier League title.

Fulham’s matches have seen a decent amount of throws this season but they will have to remain patient against an Arsenal side that are fantastic at keeping the ball. This usually results in fewer throws. There were just 25 when these sides clashed earlier this season.

There were under 34.5 throws in the match when Arsenal faced Fulham in this fixture last season. The Gunners’ away matches are averaging 33.22 throws per game this season.

  • Selection: Under 34.5 Throws In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Liverpool vs Newcastle: Newcastle Set to Fight Back

England, Premier League, Monday, 1st January, 20:00 (UK)

Liverpool are now the outright Premier League leaders. They beat Newcastle 2-1 earlier in the season despite going down to ten men but they are looking to return to winning ways at Anfield after consecutive draws. Klopp’s side have lost just one home game in the league since the start of last season.

Newcastle have been plagued by injury this season and it’s impacted their performance. They’ve crashed out of Europe and face an uphill battle if they want to qualify for the Champions League once again. The Magpies have won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Klopp’s side are forcing an average of 19.47 tackles per game this season. They will attack from the off with the home crowd behind them and we should see plenty of Newcastle tackles as a result. They forced Newcastle into making 22 tackles in this future last season.

The Geordies made 19 tackles against Liverpool earlier this season despite having a man extra for the majority of the match. This bet has won in six of Newcastle’s last eight away matches in all competitions. They are averaging 21.88 tackles per game over that period.

  • Selection: Over 18.5 Tackles For Newcastle
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

West Ham vs Brighton: Hammers and Seagulls Set for a Stand-off

England, Premier League, Tuesday, 2nd January, 19:30 (UK)

West Ham earned a huge scalp against Arsenal in their last match and have fought their way back into European contention. The Hammers have won four of their last five Premier League matches and are now 6th in the table.

Brighton haven’t quite reached the level they were at last season but there is plenty of reason to be positive. They beat Tottenham 4-2 in their last match and Roberto De Zerbi’s side are set to challenge for a place in Europe once again.

The Hammers’ home matches this season are averaging 25.67 tackles per game. This bet has landed in their last six Premier League matches at the London Stadium and they are unlikely to go after Brighton high up the pitch here

The Seagulls’ away matches in the Premier League have also seen very few tackles with those games averaging just 26. There were just 24 tackles in this fixture last season. There have been 31 tackles or less in Brighton’s last six visits to this ground with an average of 25.17 per game.

  • Selection: Under 33.5 Tackles In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
