Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Visitors Favour Patient Approach

England, Premier League, Tuesday, 30th January, 19:30 (UK)

Nottingham Forest’s decision to replace Steve Cooper with Nuno Espirito Santo has paid off in the early stages of his tenure. There has been an upturn in form, and they are now six points clear of the bottom three. The club could face sanctions due to FFP breaches, so every point is key.

Mikel Arteta’s side suffered a blip at the end of December but they are still in contention for the Premier League crown. Arsenal are dealing with the weight of expectation this season. Many fancied them to be Manchester City’s main rivals for the title. They are currently five points behind Liverpool (the league leaders) but there is plenty of time for them to realise that potential.

Since Santo took over, goals haven’t been a problem for Forest, but the shot counts in their matches have remained low. There has been an average of 24 per game across the seven matches in all competitions and 22.33 in their games at the City Ground.

Arsenal’s away matches in the league are averaging 24.8 attempts. There were just 17 when they visited this ground last season. The Gunners’ win over Forest earlier this season saw just 21 shots.

  • Selection: Under 25.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Aston Villa vs Newcastle:Villa Park Set for Frantic Affair

England, Premier League, Tuesday, 30th January, 20:15 (UK)

Aston Villa are also just five points behind Liverpool Unai Emery’s side have been excellent this season, particularly when playing at home. The Villains are unbeaten in 10 home league matches, winning nine in the process. They were beaten 5-1 by Newcastle early in the campaign so they will be out for revenge here.

Newcastle are 10th and could drop into the bottom half if they drop points here. Eddie Howe’s side qualified for the Champions League with their top-four finish last season, but they face a struggle to replicate that here. Their only away win in the Premier League came against Sheffield United.

Emery’s side’s matches have seen fewer throws this season, with an average of 30.85 per game in the league. This average has increased to 37.8 in Villa’s last five league matches. Moreover, there are indicators that this game could be an exception.

Newcastle’s away matches in all competitions have seen an average of 36.12 throws. There were 38 when they went head-to-head with Villa earlier this season. This bet has won in the last nine meetings between the sides with an average of 41.33 per game.

  • Selection: Over 30.5 Throws In The Match: (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Manchester City vs Burnley: City in Cruise Control

England, Premier League, Wednesday, 31st January, 19:30 (UK)

Manchester City are 2nd in the league and poised to pounce on any Liverpool slip-ups in the final months of the season. Pep Guardiola were in their position last season and successfully. chased down Arsenal to secure the title. Their home form has been exceptional so they are expected to coast past Burnley here.

Vincent Kompnay’s side has been poor this season, and their record against City is even worse. They have conceded 32 goals in their last seven visits to the Etihad.
Burnley requires a serious upturn in form if they are to survive on their own merit.

City is the most accomplished side in possession in England, and their matches have seen the fewest throws as a result. Their Premier League matches are averaging 28.6 per game. This drops to 26.78 at the Etihad.

Burnley have taken on two of the league’s current top four on the road this season, and there were 29 throws or fewer in both. There were just 28 throws in their last match against Manchester City.

  • Selection: Under 29.5 Throws The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Tottenham vs Brentford: Tottenham Tackle Numbers Tell the Tale

England, Premier League, Wednesday, 31st January, 19:30 (UK)

Tottenham looked toothless in their last match against Manchester City in the FA Cup. Ange Postecoglou, who prides himself on attacking football, will be keen to see his side bare their teeth here. James Maddison’s return to the team should provide a huge boost as they push for a place in the top four.

Brentford have recently received a boost of their own. Ivan Toney has returned from his lengthy suspension due to his gambling activities and is back amongst the goals. He scored a free kick in the Bees’ win over Forest in their last match. Brentford are currently languishing in 14th place.

Tottenham’s matches have seen the most tackles in the league this season, with an average of 40.9 per game. This increases to 41.4 in their matches at the London Stadium. We need 39 tackles in the match for this bet to win, which has landed in their last six league matches in front of their own fans.

Brentford are making the 3rd most tackles in away games this season with an average of 19.56. They haven’t forced a great deal themselves, but Tottenham’s high-press should mean we see good numbers from both sides.

  • Selection: Over 38.5 Tackles In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Liverpool vs Chelsea: The Blues Under Siege

England, Premier League, Wednesday, 31st January, 20:15 (UK)

Liverpool’s formidable home form has put them in the driving seat in the race for the title but there is a long way to go. They have a five-point cushion over City having played a game more. Klopp’s decision to leave the club at the end of the season has only added to the narrative. It promises to be a blockbuster few months in Liverpool.

Chelsea have taken a while to get going this season but they have started to improve. Champions League qualification looks like a stretch, but they have fought their way into European contention over the last month.

Klopp’s side have looked deadly this season. The loss of Mohamed Salah has had very little impact, and they continue to put the opposition under pressure. As a result, we are backing Chelsea to have at least nine goal kicks here. Liverpool’s opponents at Anfield this season are averaging 12.26 per game.

The Blues had nine goal kicks in this fixture last season. They had 13 goal kicks in their most recent away match against Luton.

  • Selection: Over 8.5 Goal Kicks For Chelsea (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

West Ham vs Bournemouth: Iraola Ball Shows Promise

England, Premier League, Thursday, 1st February, 19:30 (UK)

David Moyes was left furious by his team’s performance and the referee following the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United. West Ham are 6th in the league and are battling for a European place, so it’s important for them to return to winning ways here.

Bournemouth have clicked under Andoni Iraola. Their good run of form since early November has moved them up to 11th in the Premier League. Their last league match was a 4-0 defeat against Liverpool, but they have since bounced back with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Swansea in the FA Cup.

There were 30 shots when West Ham took on Bournemouth earlier this season. Their last match against the Blades was end-to-end and resulted in a whopping 37 shots.

The Cherries’ away matches in the league in this campaign have seen an average of 31.4 shots per game. Our bet has won in five of their last six on the road across all competitions. The exception was their trip to Selhurst Park, which saw 27 shots.

  • Selection: Over 27.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
