Scott Thornton brings you the second Premier League props acca tips article of the week.
Everton host Tottenham in our first match. Later on Saturday, we’ve covered Brighton vs Crystal Palace and Sheffield United vs Aston Villa. Both Brighton and Aston Villa are looking to bounce back from disappointing defeats.
Sunday sees Manchester United in action before Arsenal and Liverpool slug it out. Manchester City head to Brentford on Monday night and they have lost their last two games against Thomas Frank’s side.

It’s been a chaotic week at Everton. They have dropped into the relegation zone but have also begun the appeal process to have their 10-point deduction overturned. Sean Dyche’s side have struggled since mid-December. Their only win in their last nine matches came against Palace in the FA Cup.
Tottenham came from behind to win against Brentford midweek. Postecoglou’s men now reside in the Premier League’s top four and have lost just one of their last seven matches in the league. They have suffered just one defeat in their last ten matches against the Toffees.
The Toffees should come out swinging in this one. They need to get back to winning ways here, and I expect plenty of shots at both ends. Their matches this season have seen an average of 28.05 shots. There were 46 shots in Everton’s last game and 31 when they faced Tottenham in December.
Spurs matches have seen the 2nd most shots in the league, with an average of 29.91. They were boosted by the return of James Maddison midweek and managed 19 attempts.

Brighton were hammered by Luton in their last match. They have now won just three of their last 16 league matches and need to turn things around if they are to stay amongst the European contenders. Roberto De Zerbi continues to gain plaudits for his style of play, but results will take centre stage in the closing months of the season.
Crystal Palace picked up a big victory over Sheffield United in their last match. The Eagles’ faithful displayed their discontent when their side were battered at the Emirates a couple of weeks ago. They will be relying on the likes of Michael Olise to secure a result here.
Expect a response from Brighton here. They need to get back to their attacking best to arrest the slum, and the shot numbers show some promise. De Zerbi’s side are averaging 17.82 shots per league home game in this campaign.
The Eagles were tremendously poor in their last away game, as they conceded five goals and 21 shots against Arsenal. They allowed Brighton to have 18 shots when the sides clashed earlier in the season.

Time is running out for Sheffield United as they aim to pull off a great escape. Performances have improved since Chris Widler returned to the club, but they remain bottom of the league. The Blades have been deadly in front of goal. However, their defensive woes have prevented them from progressing up the table.
Aston Villa’s midweek clash with Newcastle saw them lose at home for the first time in this campaign. The defeat saw Unai Emery’s side slip to 5th in the league. They’ve won just one of their last five league matches.
There were 32 throws when these sides met earlier in the season, but I’m happy to back over 35.5 in this one, given the Blades’ recent numbers. Wilder has taken charge of four Premier League home matches in his second stint at the club. Those have seen an average of 51.5 throws.
Villa matches have seen the 4th fewest throws in the top flight. However, this bet has won in their last four league matches on the road with an average of 42.5 throws.

Manchester United needs to put together a solid run from now until the end of the season to qualify for the Champions League. Erik Ten Hag’s side have been off the pace since the start of the season. United have continued to falter in 2024. Upheaval is just around the corner, and several players are paying for their futures.
West Ham are above Manchester United and are engaged in their own race for a European place. The Hammers were in fine form up until the end of December but have yet to get a win in their first four competitive matches this year.
Manchester United’s matches have seen the 7th most goal kicks in the division. The last time they welcomed West Ham to Old Trafford, there were 22 goal kicks in the match. Three of the Hammers’ last four trips to this ground have seen over 20 goal kicks.
David Moyes’ side’s away matches in the league have seen an average of 16.82 goal kicks. Their matches overall have seen the 4th most goal kicks in the league.
England, Premier League, Sunday, 4th February, 16:30 (UK)
Arsenal vs Liverpool is the highlight of the weekend in the Premier League. The Gunners are five points behind the league leaders, so this is a great opportunity for them to bridge the gap. They have lost just one of their eleven league matches at the Emirates this season but lost at home to Liverpool in the FA Cup in January.
Liverpool looked brilliant in their 4-1 win over Chelsea. Another win here would be a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they chase success in his final season with the club. The Reds have lost just one league game this season.
Arteta’s side are accomplished in possession, and they are used to dominating possession. This means their matches see just 29.55 throws per game; the 2nd fewest in the league. Liverpool can efficiently press the home side, so the recent head-to-heads have seen plenty of throws. There were 37 throws when these sides clashed in the FA Cup and 44 in the earlier league meeting.
The Reds’ away matches in the league have seen an average of 38.36 throws this season. This looks set to be a frantic battle, and the throw count could climb as the teams aim to advance in wide areas.
England, Premier League, Saturday, 1st January, 15:00 (UK)
Brentford took the lead at Tottenham midweek but were unable to hold on. The Bees’ recent matches have been goal-friendly, and Ivan Toney’s return has bolstered their attack. Thomas Frank’s side did the double over Manchester City last season. They would love to extend that record on Monday night.
City recorded a routine victory over Burnley midweek. Pep Guardiola’s side are breathing down Liverpool’s necks in the race for the title, but this one is a potential banana skin. Erling Haaland came off the bench in their last match, and Kevin De Bruyne has been in fine form since returning from injury.
We’re returning to the throws market here and betting under 33.5 in the match. There were just 26 throws in this fixture last season. There were 23 when the teams locked horns at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola’s side are the pass masters of the Premier League. They look to put the opposition under sustained pressure, and the ball seldom goes out of touch. Their matches this season have seen an average of 28.53 throws per game. The league average is 35.88.
