Brentford vs Liverpool: Bees Look to Stifle Liverpool

England, Premier League, Saturday, 17th February, 12:30 (UK)

Brentford were impressive as they won 2-0 at Molineux in their last match. Ivan Toney’s return to the field has been a real boost for Thomas Frank, and they will have their sights set on breaking into the top half of the Premier League from now until the end of the season.

Liverpool bounced back from their 3-1 defeat against Arsenal last weekend by beating Burnley by the same scoreline. Klopp’s men are looking to keep the pressure on Manchester City in the race for the title. They have their noses in front at this stage, but Pep’s side has a game in hand.

Brentford’s home matches this season have seen an average of 27.92 shots per game. That’s dangerously close to our bet line here, but their recent head–to–heads with Liverpool at this ground have seen fewer. There were just 26 shots in this fixture last season.

Klopp’s side’s away matches are averaging 26.92 shots per game. This bet has won in their last six away matches in the league. They have faced relegation candidates such as Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, and Burnley over that period, so the visitors’ shot count shouldn’t be remarkably high.

  • Selection: Under 28.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Newcastle vs Bournemouth: Shots Set to Fly at St James’s Park

England, Premier League, Saturday, 17th February, 15:00 (UK)

Newcastle edged past Nottingham Forest to stay in the race for European football. Eddie Howe’s side made it into the top four last season, but they have 11 points to make up if they are to replicate that feat this season. They have not won in their last three league matches at St. James’s Park.

Bournemouth were the form team in the English top flight at one stage, but they are now on a run of five matches without a win. Andoni Iraola’s side have played some good football but will be keen to return to winning ways as soon as possible. They were beaten 3-2 by Fulham last weekend.

Eddie Howe’s side’s home matches this season have seen an average of 29.17 shots per game. There have been at least 30 shots in Newcastle’s last five Premier League matches at St. James’s Park.

The Cherries’ away matches have seen an average of 30.33 shots. That’s the 3rd most in the division. There were 32 shots in their most recent away match at Fulham.

  • Selection: Over 29.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Manchester City vs Chelsea: Pochettino Likes His Players to Get Stuck in

England, Premier League, Saturday, 17th February, 17:30 (UK)

Manchester City coasted past Copenhagen midweek, but now their attention has turned to defending their Premier League crown. Pep Guardiola has had key players return from injuries in recent weeks, so City looked prepared for what will undoubtedly be a busy few months as they chase glory once again.

Chelsea earned a 4-4 draw when they played City at Stamford Bridge earlier this season. Cole Palmer scored the crucial penalty in that one. Pochettino’s men have struggled for consistency so far this season. They have won their last two matches 3-1 but will need to go up a gear to secure a win at the Etihad.

Pep’s side are dominant in possession and experts at evading the opposition press. As a result, their matches are averaging 28.39 tackles, the feast in the league. However, the thrilling encounter with Chelsea earlier in the season saw 38 tackles in the match.

The Blues’ matches are averaging 38.17 tackles. That’s well above the required line for this bet to land. There have been 30 tackles or more in nine of Chelsea’s last 10 Premier League matches on the road, with an average of 40.5.

  • Selection: Over 29.5 Tackles In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Sheffield United vs Brighton: Seagulls’ Control Should Impact the Throw Count

England, Premier League, Sunday, 18th February, 14:00 (UK)

Sheffield United gave themselves a glimmer of hope last weekend by beating Luton at Kenilworth Road. They were on the back foot for most of the game but managed to make the most of their chances. Chris Wilder’s side need to put together a run of victories to close the gap to safety.

Brighton earned their fair share of plaudits last season. However, progress has halted in recent months as Roberto De Zerbi attempts to steer his team back up the table. The Seagulls have picked up just three wins in their last 18 league matches. They are now 9th in the table, but the cap to 6th is just six points.

There were just 16 throws in the FA Cup meeting between these sides in January, so the throws line looks a little high here. Sheffield United’s home matches since Chris Wilder took over have largely been high, but their most recent home match against Aston Villa saw just 31. This one could play out similarly as Brighton patiently looks to find the free man in possession.

The Seagulls’ away matches in the Premier League this season have seen an average of just 31.58 throws per game. There were 28 throws when these sides last met in the Premier League back in November.

  • Selection: Under 35.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Luton vs Manchester United: Lacklustre Defending Spells Danger

England, Premier League, Sunday, 18th February, 16:30 (UK)

Luton’s defeat against Sheffield United was the first time they have lost a home game by a margin of two goals or more this season. Rob Edwards’ side has proven to be a tough test for any side at Kenilworth Road, and this Sunday will be no different.

Manchester United have improved massively since the turn of the year. Erik Ten Hag’s have forced their way back into the Champions League equation but there are still frailties in their performance. The Red Devils’ afforded Aston Villa plenty of chances in their recent 2-1 win.

Rob Edwards’ Luton will take a direct approach to trouble this Manchester United side. Their style has meant there has been a lot of goal kicks in their matches this season, particularly when playing on home turf. They have forced an average of 8.83 goal kicks per game at Kenilworth Road.

Erik Ten Hag’s side have lacked defensive structure and are inviting shots. They are averaging 9.08 goal kicks per Premier League away match, and this bet has won in seven of their last eight.

  • Selection: Over 7.5 Goal Kicks For Manchester United (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Everton vs Crystal Palace: Scrap

England, Premier League, Monday, 19th February, 20:00 (UK)

Everton round off the Premier League weekend when they take on Crystal Palace on Monday night. Sean Dyche’s side were beaten by Manchester City this weekend. This meeting with Palace is a great opportunity for them to end their poor run. The Toffees have failed to win any of their last seven Premier League matches.

Crystal Palace took the lead against Chelsea in their last match but eventually suffered a 3-1 defeat. The pressure is growing on Roy Hodsgon with the team having picked up just 13 points in their last 18 league matches.

Sean Dyche’s side are averaging 20.83 tackles per Premier League game at Goodison Park this season. They had 25 tackles in their last home matches against Tottenham and they face another of the most tackled sides in the division here.

Brighton had 23 Tackles in Crystal Palace’s last match on the road. This bet has won in four of the Eagles’ last five visits to this ground with Everton averaging 21.6 tackles.

  • Selection: Over 19.5 Tackles For Everton (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10
