Manchester United vs Everton: Ten Hag’s Insisting on Chaos

England, Premier League, Saturday, 9th March, 12:30 (UK)

Manchester United were outclassed at the Etihad last weekend and are unlikely to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Rumours are circulating about Erik Ten Hag’s future, but his side faces a difficult task this weekend. The Red Devils have lost their last two league matches and are 11 points off the top four.

Everton are five points above the relegation zone but their form will concern Sean Dyche. The Toffees’ last win came in the FA Cup on the 17th of January so they are currently on a run of seven matches without a win.

Ten Hag’s side’s recent matches have seen an abundance of shots. There has been an average of 36.4 across their ten matches in all competitions in 2024. We need 31 shots for this bet, which has landed in four of their last five games. United’s Premier League matches have seen an average of 30.78 shots, more than any other side’s.

There were 33 shots when Manchester United beat Everton earlier in the season. There were 44 shots when Sean Dyche’s side last visited Old Trafford.

  • Selection: Over 30.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Bournemouth vs Sheffield United: Iraola’s Men in the Ascendancy

England, Premier League, Saturday, 9th March, 15:00 (UK)

Bournemouth picked up a crucial win over Burnley in their last match. The three points saw them move 11 points above the bottom three and up to 13th. Andoni Iraola’s side have won just three of their 12 Premier League matches on home turf. They showed plenty of fight in their last match at the Vitality Stadium against Manchester City but they will be expecting a result here.

Sheffield United were put to the sword on Monday night. Arsenal hit the Blades for six and time is running out quickly for Chris Wilder’s side. Their only win in their last 11 Premier League matches came away at Luton.

The Cherries are averaging just 12.42 shots per home game in the league this season but they take on a Sheffield United side that are struggling. Iraola’s side won 3-1 and had 23 shots when they travelled to Bramall Lane earlier in the season so they are capable of hitting high shot lines here.

The Blades have conceded 20 shots or more in three of their last four matches. They have allowed their opponents to have an average of 17.37 shots in the league, more than any other side.

  • Selection: Over 16.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds:  1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Arsenal vs Brentford: The Gunners in Charge

England, Premier League, Saturday, 9th March, 17:30 (UK)

Arsenal have the chance to go top of the table when they take on Brentford. Manchester City head to Liverpool on Sunday so this is a great opportunity for Mikel Arteta’s side to put the pressure on. The Gunners have won all seven league matches in 2024 and have scored an average of 4.43 goals in the process.

Brentford have picked up just three away wins all season, but they managed to earn a draw on their last visit to the Emirates. The Bees are six points above the relegation zone and risk being dragged into the battle if their form doesn’t improve.

The Gunners’ matches have seen the second-fewest throws in the league, with an average of 30. They are capable of dominating the ball for large spells, and this has undoubtedly had an impact. This bet has won in eight of their last nine home matches in the Premier League.

There were 29 throws when Brentford last went head-to-head with Arsenal at this ground. There were 31 throws or less in their away matches against Liverpool and Manchester City, the Gunners’ title rivals.

  • Selection: Under 33.5 Throws in The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 9/10

Aston Villa vs Tottenham: Tottenham at Full Tilt

England, Premier League, Sunday, 10th March January, 13:00 (UK)

Aston Villa have a five-point lead over Tottenham going into the weekend but they have also played a game more than their top-four rivals. They have won their last four matches against Spurs and another win on Sunday would put them firmly in the driving seat in the race for the Champions League.

Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 3-1 in their last match. Ange’s side fell behind despite being on the front foot but showed great character as they scored three times in the last 15 minutes. Spurs have conceded eight goals in their last five away matches so expect entertainment here.

Unai Emery’s side’s matches have seen an average of 25.48 shots per game this season, marginally below the line required for this bet. However, there were 33 shots when they last went toe-to-toe with Tottenham.

Postecoglou has brought his brand of football to Spurs since joining in the summer. They have been fantastic to watch, and their matches have seen plenty of attempts. Tottenham matches have seen an average of 28.77 shots, the 4th most in the Premier League.

  • Selection: Over 25.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Liverpool vs Manchester City: Clash of the Titans

England, Premier League, Sunday, 10th March January, 15:45 (UK)

Liverpool have home advantage in what is a huge game in the title race. Jurgen Klopp is chasing his second Premier League trophy in his final season at the club, but City and Arsenal are expected to push them all the way. The Reds needed a last-gasp goal to beat Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 20 matches across all competitions. They are averaging 2.7 goals per game over that period. They trail Liverpool by a point coming into the weekend but they have won just once in their last 20 visits to Anfield.

The stakes are high in this match, so the bet is over 13.5 goal kicks, with both chasing a win. Liverpool’s league matches at Anfield this season have seen an average of 15.54 goal kicks per game. They are forcing 10.31 from their opponents but the count should be more evenly spread when they take on City.

Pep Guardiola’s side’s away matches have seen an average of 12.54 goal kicks, but the recent numbers when playing Liverpool are more promising. There were 16 goal kicks when these sides met earlier in the season. There were 17 goal kicks the last time City played at Anfield.

  • Selection: Over 13.5 Goal Kicks In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Chelsea vs Newcastle: The Blues Love a Tackle

England, Premier League, Monday, 11th March, 20:00 (UK)

Chelsea in the bottom half in March would have been unthinkable a couple of seasons ago but that’s the position they find themselves in. Things haven’t gone smoothly since Roman Abramovich departed the club but there is still an outside chance of them qualifying for Europe.

Newcastle qualified for the Champions League in the last campaign but failed to build on that success. Their progress has been halted by injuries. Financial fair play has also played its part in restricting the progress the club can make in such a short space of time. Eddie Howe’s side beat Wolves 3-0 in their last match.

Pochettino has always liked his teams to defend from the front. It hasn’t been plain sailing for Chelsea this season, but they have still shown some of the hallmarks of a Poch team. Their matches have seen an average of 38.27 tackles, the fourth-most in the top flight.

The Magpies have already played Chelsea twice this season. There were 46 tackles in the previous league meeting. There were 41 tackles when they played at Stamford Bridge in the League Cup.

  • Selection: Over 37.5 Tackles in The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
