Scott Thornton brings you his Premier League props acca for this additional round of fixtures. The season is drawing to a close but there is still plenty left to play for.
Arsenal are looking to maintain their lead at the top when they face Chelsea on Tuesday. Wednesday night sees Wolves vs Bournemouth, Manchester United vs Sheffield United, Crystal Palace vs Newcastle, and of course, the Merseyside Derby. On Thursday, a Manchester City side with no future Champions League commitments heads to Brighton and they cannot afford to take their foot off the gas.

England, Premier League, Tuesday, 23rd April, 20:00 (UK)
Arsenal are sitting at the top of the Premier League table coming into this one. They are level on points with Liverpool but Manchester City have a game-in-hand on both. The Gunners managed to beat Wolves 2-0 in their last match to bounce back from the disappointment of their Champions League exit. They need another win here to keep the pressure on Pep Guradiola’s side.
Chelsea will have felt hard done by after their FA Cup semi-final defeat against Manchester City. Mauricio Pochettino felt his side should have been awarded a penalty and they squandered a couple of opportunities.
The Gunners’ matches have seen the fourth fewest throws in the Premier League with an average of 29.82 per game. There have been 33 throws or fewer in nine of their last 10 league matches at the Emirates. There has been an average of 30.5 throws over that period.
Pochettino’s sides’ away matches have seen an average of 3.87 throws, around the mark set by the bookmaker here. However, this bet has won in the last three meetings with Arsenal. There were just 20 throws the last time Chelsea visited this ground.

Wolves are sitting pretty in 11th but they are in danger of letting a poor run in the final months of the season overshadow their achievement. They are without a win in their last six matches and will want to remedy that here. Gary O’Neil needs his side to regroup and end the season on a high.
Bournemouth will also be delighted with the way the season has played out. The decision to sack O’Neil in the summer raised eyebrows but Andoni Iraola has done an excellent job. The Cherries took the lead at Villa Park on Sunday but eventually lost 3-1. They can overtake Wolves with a win here.
Gary O’Neil’s side is averaging just 11.38 shots per game at Molineux this season, but they managed 21 shots when they last squared off against Bournemouth. Wolves had 15 shots the last time the Cherries came to this ground.
Iraola’s side are conceding an average of 16.38 shots per away game in the Premier League. They have allowed their opponents to have at least 13 shots in their last four matches on the road.

Crystal Palace will be full of confidence after putting West Ham to the sword. Oliver Glasner has had an immediate impact at the club. They look more of a threat going forward and have been boosted by the returns of Eze and Olise.
Newcastle have struggled to live up to the standards they set last season but a lot of that is down to an injury crisis. Eddie Howe’s men are still in the hunt for a European football place ahead of next season. A win at Selhurst Park would do their chances a world of good.
The Eagles were excellent in their last match, and I’m backing them to be an attacking force once again. They are averaging 15.75 shots per home game under Glasner, and this bet won in three of those four matches. The loss to Manchester City was the only game in which they failed to hit the mark.
The Magpies are conceding an average of 15.73 shots per away game in the Premier League this season. They allowed Crystal Palace to have 17 shots in the reverse fixture.

Everton have the chance to put a major dent in their local rivals’ title hopes this week. The Toffees secured a much-needed win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend but they aren’t out of the woods just yet. Sean Dyche’s side are currently five points above the relegation zone.
Liverpool beat Fulham 3-1 in their last match. Jurgen Klopp’s tenure is in danger of ending with a whimper if the team cannot beat Arsenal and City to the Premier League crown. The Reds have already lifted the League Cup, but the previous talk of a quadruple makes that an underwhelming feat.
The Toffees will have to go direct to evade the Liverpool press here which should inflate the goal kick count. Everton matches have seen the fourth most goal kicks in the league. There were 19 goal kicks when the sides met at Anfield earlier in the season. The last encounter at Goodison Park also saw 19 goal kicks.
Klopp’s sides’ matches have seen an average of 15.84 goal kicks, the second most in the league.

Manchester United made it to the FA Cup final by the skin of their teeth. They led Coventry 3-0 but the defensive issues that have plagued them all season came to the fore as the Championship side clawed it back to 3-3. It seems inconceivable that Erik Ten hag will be in the Old Trafford dugout next season, so the performances for the remainder of this campaign will be intriguing,
Sheffield United were hammered by Burnley at the weekend. Relegation is now all but confirmed, so they have nothing to lose when they head to Manchester this week. Chris Wilder’s side lacks the quality needed to stay in the Premier League, but they can hurt this shaky Manchester United side.
United are unable to rely on their makeshift defence, so they might need a couple of goals here. They are averaging 15.83 shots per league game at Old Trafford, but they should exceed that mark against the Blades.
Wilder’s men conceded 16 shots at home to Burnley at the weekend and I expect more here. Sheffield United’s opponents in their last five away matches are averaging 20.6 shots.

Brighton still have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe but they would need to take all three points against City. The Seagulls haven’t reached the level they were at last season but they remain a very dangerous opponent.
Pep Guardiola knows there is no room for error for his Manchester City side. They are 3rd in the table coming into this round of fixtures but are favourites to lift the trophy due to their game-in-hand. City are chasing their fourth consecutive Premier League title along with the FA Cup.
Recent clashes between these sides have seen very few tackles. There were just 24 when the sides locked horns at the Etihad in October. The last meeting at the Amex Arena also saw just 24 tackles.
City’s matches have seen the fewest tackles in the Premier League with an average of 29.66 per game. Pep prefers his sides to be patient as they search for an opening. This means the opposition have fewer tackles than you’d expect as they attempt to relieve City of possession.
