Luton vs Everton: Top of Throws Charts

England, Premier League, Friday, 3rd May, 20:00 (UK)

Luton have the chance to move out of the bottom three on Friday night. They are searching for their third win over Everton this season. However, Rob Edwards’ side aren’t in good form. They have won just one of their last 15 matches and conceded 12 in their last three.

Everton, on the other hand, have won their last three matches but all of those took place at Goodison Park. The Toffees are now safe from the drop despite being docked eight points this season. They will be keen to finish the season on a positive note.

The Hatters’ league matches at Kenilworth Road this season have seen an average of 41.06 throws. That’s well above the Premier League average of 35.66 throws per game. There were 47 throws in their last game away at Wolves and this clash also looks set to see plenty of throws.

Sean Dyche’s sides’ matches have seen the most throws in the league, with an average of 41.89. This is slightly below the line set by bet365 here, but there were 63 throws in the reverse fixture.

  • Selection: Over 42.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Arsenal vs Bournemouth: The Cherries Have No Fear

England, Premier League, Saturday, 4th May, 12:30 (UK)

Arsenal have the chance to extend the gap over Manchester City in the title race when they take to the field for Saturday’s early game. Mike Arteta’s men are hoping that City slip up at some stage so they can get their hands on that elusive Premier League trophy.

The fact that Bournemouth have very little to play for at this stage will be viewed as a success. The European places are just beyond reach going into the final three matches. Andoni Iraola endured a tough start at the club but they have played some cracking football since then and are now 10th.

The Gunners are averaging just 5.1 corners per Premier League game but we are backing over here. They had seven in the reverse fixture and the Bournemouth have shown they are capable of forcing a few.

The Cherries have played 17 away matches in the league. Their opponents are averaging 8.24 goals kicks in those games. Iraola’s men love to play on the front foot and have forced six goal kicks or more in 16 of those away matches as a result.

  • Selection: Over 5.5 Goal Kicks For Arsenal (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 2.25
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Burnley vs Newcastle: Shots Aplenty at Turf Moor

England, Premier League, Saturday, 4th May, 15:00 (UK)

Time is running out for Burnley to escape the drop. They come into the weekend two points from safety but will be acutely aware that Nottingham Forest are playing an already-relegated Sheffield United. The Clarets have lost just one of their last seven matches.

Newcastle still have a host of injuries to contend with. Their form has improved in recent months, but they still look shaky on the road. They have won one of their last six away matches across all competitions. Three points are crucial here if they are to secure European football.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Burnley’s recent matches have seen plenty of shots. There were 43 shots in their draw at Old Trafford in their last game. Their last ten league matches have seen an average of 30.4 shots.

The Magpies’ league matches are averaging 29.8 shots. There were 28 shots when they beat Burnley earlier in the season. They faced another side in the bottom three in their last away match in the form of Sheffield United. There were 35 shots in that game.

  • Selection: Over 26.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Sheffield United vs Nottingham Forest: Forest at the Shooting Range

England, Premier League, Saturday, 4th May, 15:00 (UK)

Sheffield United have never really looked like remaining in the top tier of English football. The gamble to bring back Chris WIlder hasn’t had much of an impact and the Blades fans have suffered through a long, arduous campaign. The players will be looking to give their supporters something to cheer about in the closing matches.

This is a huge opportunity for Nottingham Forest. They come into the weekend one point above Luton and the relegation zone. A win and some other results going their way could see them go into the final two matches with some breathing space.

Sheffield United have conceded the most shots in the league this season, with their opponents averaging 18 per game. Their last five matches at Bramall Lane have seen them concede an average of 27.8 shots per game. Burnley managed 16 shots in the last of those games.

Nottingham Forest managed 16 attempts when they faced the Blades at the City Ground in August. They had 17 shots when they visited this ground in 2022, with both teams playing in the Championship.

  • Selection: Over 14.5 Shots For Nottingham Forest (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Manchester City vs Wolves: A Throws Trend That Pays Dividends

England, Premier League, Saturday, 4th May, 17:30 (UK)

Pep Guardiola’s side are 2nd in the table but are in the driving seat in terms of the title race thanks to their game in hand. They cannot afford to drop points, but City are well versed in high-pressure title races. They are widely expected to go on and win their fourth consecutive league crown.

Wolves have amassed a total of 46 points from their 35 matches. There was talk of relegation when Julen Lopetegui left just days before the season began but Gary O’Neil has done a remarkable job. Wolves won their last clash with City 2-1.

Manchester City matches have seen an average of 28.44 throws per game, the fewest in the league. This drops to 26.71 in their league matches at the Etihad. Pep’s side dominates possession for long periods and keeping the ball in play is key in sustaining pressure. This bet has won in City’s last five league games in front of their own fans.

Wolves matches have seen an average of 37.49 throws but we should see far fewer this weekend. There were just 25 throws when they visited this ground last season and will be prepared to sit in deep once again.

  • Selection: Under 28.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Liverpool vs Tottenham: Lack of Space Leads to Throws

England, Premier League, Sunday, 5th May, 16:30 (UK)

Liverpool face a tough test on Sunday as they host Tottenham. The Reds had been dreaming of giving Jurgen Klopp the send-off he deserves by winning a quadruple but those dreams have unravelled in recent months. They have fallen behind in the title race and it’s now very likely they will only have the League Cup to show for their efforts.

Tottenham face a fight to make it into the top four. They have made progress under Ange Postecoglou but that is unlikely to carry them into next season’s Champions League. Spurs controversially beat Liverpool 2-1 when the sides met earlier this season.

These sides are both keen on pressing high up the pitch. Therefore, we should see a decent amount of throws. Liverpool matches have seen an average of 36.83 throws per game, just above the line set here. There were 44 throws in their last home game against Crystal Palace.

Spurs matches have seen an average of 36.27 throws but recent meetings with Liverpool paint a more promising picture. There were 43 throws when the sides met earlier in the season and this ber has won in four of the last five head-to-heads.

  • Selection: Over 36.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United: Lacklustre Defending Increases Goal Kick Count

England, Premier League, Saturday, 5th May, 16:30 (UK)

Crystal Palace are looking to continue their rich vein of form when they welcome Manchester United to Selhurst Park on Monday night. They beat Erik Ten Hga’s side 1-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season so they are aiming to complete a rare league double over the Red Devils here.

Manchester United continued to falter in their 1-1 draw with Burnley. A place in the Champions League is now out of reach. Nevertheless, United need to perform with Erik Ten Hag’s position hanging by a thread and INEOS mulling over making a change.

The Eagles’ home matches under Oliver Glasner have seen 16 goal kicks per game on average. Expect even more when they square off against United. There were 18 in the reverse fixture and Palace have improved as an attacking outfit since.

United have been inviting far too many shots this season. Only Sheffield United have allowed the opposition to have more attempts and that inevitably leads to goal kicks. The Red Devils’ matches have seen the second most goal kicks in the league. Their 14 league matches in 2-24 have seen an average of 17.36 goal kicks.

  • Selection: Over 16.5 Goal Kicks In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Premier League Props Acca Tips Odds via bet365 as at 09:11, May 2nd, 2024. Odds may now differ.
