With a new football season now just around the corner, it offers pundits and punters plenty of points for discussion. Although the title race in England may already be a foregone conclusion for some, the Premier League top 4 odds are offering fertile ground for debate.

Because with six clubs fighting for four Champions League invites, it looks set to be another highly entertaining campaign. With that in mind, we are going to look at this season’s runners and riders

Manchester City Top 4 Odds

While as good a place to start as any is the Etihad and with Manchester City going into this new season as not only defending champions but also in possession of Erling Haaland, their odds to finish in the top 4 are unsurprisingly short.

As short as 1.03 at the time of writing. For those who like to place long-term investments over the course of a whole campaign, the Man City top 4 odds should definitely be worth some consideration.

Admittedly the odds on Premier League Top 4 being delivered by Pep Guardiola in 2022/23 is not going to mean an accumulation of riches, but it will at least offer some form of return for being patient.

Liverpool Top 4 Odds

While the same strategy could also be used when looking at the Liverpool top 4 odds of 1.10. Although Jurgen Klopp has now said goodbye to Sadio Mane, he can still call upon the talents of Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah.

Add the arrival of Darwin Nunez into the mix and the Premier League top 4 odds currently see Liverpool well placed to guarantee a return to the Champions League. Even if it does mean that they fail to knock City off the top step of English football.

There is certainly going to be a sense of evolution on Merseyside. With the odds on Premier League Top 4 being rather short for Liverpool, it is one that many feel will still lead to a relatively successful season.

Tottenham Top 4 Odds

Something that Spurs will definitely look to achieve and with manager Antonio Conte having splashed the cash early this summer, it means that the Tottenham top 4 odds are currently 1.72.

A position that makes them joint-3rd in the current Premier League top 4 odds. If the pair of Harry Kane and Hueng-min Son can pick up from where they left off at the end of 2021/22, a genuine title challenge could also be on the agenda in N17.

This means the odds on Premier League top 4 coming to the white half of North London are just long enough to offer the right balance between risk and reward and in fairness, with the way this team is shaping up there might be no risk at all.

Chelsea Top 4 Odds

Staying in London now and the figure of 1.72 is the same when it comes to the Chelsea top 4 odds. With new ownership now installed at Stamford Bridge, it will be interesting to see what happens in this Todd Boehly era.

With Romelu Lukaku now being loaned back to Inter Milan, it is Raheem Sterling who now takes on the mantle of marquee signing. This could also mean a slight tactical tweak by manager Thomas Tuchel.

Joining Sterling at Stamford Bridge is defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli. After tracking the Senegalese international for a number of years, the Blues have finally got their man.

Manchester United Top 4 Odds

A switch up north next and with Erik ten Hag now being installed at Old Trafford, the Man Utd top 4 odds suggest that the former Ajax manager may have his work cut out in his first season.

Because at 2.37, the bookmakers believe that the Red Devils will be pipped to the post in terms of earning an invite to the Champions League. This suggests they may have to make do with the Europa League instead.

With that said, they can now call upon Christian Eriksen and with the Danish international having moved on from Brentford. He will be tasked with adding an additional creative element to the midfield.

Arsenal Top 4 Odds

An element that is not necessarily lacking at the Emirates and with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe showing more experience than their age suggests, it means the Arsenal top 4 odds are also worth a look.

Odds that currently see them priced at 2.75. after the disappointment of missing out on Champions League qualification on the final day of last season, manager Mikel Arteta must pick his squad and hope for better fortunes this time around.

Of course, it is now a squad that also contains the talents of Gabriel Jesus and with the Brazilian forward leaving Manchester City behind, he will be tasked with returning the Gunners to Europe’s elite.
